Who knows if he's lying, but this is still a good time to remind everyone that every single person involved in Flair's last match sucks for allowing it to happen

I think this is definitely possible. He was doing okay in that match until about when he took the suplex and then seemed totally out of it the rest of the way until it was over. It was very concerning!

No kidding, anyone can see Flair was in no shape to be in the ring for that debacle.

I was expecting this to end with him saying he needs a do-over.

It would not surprise me if that’s true. The guy looked like he was close to dying in the match. He took one suplex and never got up for the rest of the match. It’s bad enough that the match happened, but how did no one check on him while he was laying there barely conscious? It was sad and scary.

Flair himself is probably disappointed that he didn't actually die, since he's claimed for years that is what he wish would happen.

Thank you for putting "Flair claims" in your post title. No one else seems to be doing that.

Thank you for putting "Flair claims" in your post title. No one else seems to be doing that. About the only thing that Ric Flair can say anymore that I would take at face value is that he is a human male who made his living for several decades as a wrestler. Anything else, including the colour of the sky and the properties of water, is subject to skepticism.

I watched that PPV, I 100% believe him on this one. He looked fine in the training videos and looked like death in the actual match, him having a heart attack mid match is very believable

from the footage I've seen of that match, I fully believe he did have a heart attack during the match.
him underselling the numbers of heart issue related deaths of pro wrestlers just further cements it for me as it comes across as he's stronger as he "didn't realise it happened during the match".
my dad did similar when he had to see a specialist for a triple heart bypass (this was in june/july 2013/14 not 100% sure off the top of my head, had the surgery by the end of august that year.) and a few years later was in flat out denial of the symptoms of the illness (and the seriousness of them.) that took him right up until the day he passed.
for some reason the older some people get the more the "I'm invincible" thought kicks in and flair has been thinking that for at least 15 years.
he's retreated into the ric flair persona more and more in that time, understandable given what's happened in his personal life and ric flair is invincible in his mind in comparison to richard fliehr.

At this point, Bruce Prichard is more reliable and truthful than Flair, but watching that match afterwards (I refused to support that garbage and watch it live), this is not surprising.

Who knows if he's lying, but this is still a good time to remind everyone that every single person involved in Flair's last match sucks for allowing it to happen Maybe, but they probably agreed to it precisely because they knew that they could rein him in and keep him from dying. Like the episode of Quantum Leap with Terry Funk where Scott Bakula wouldn’t tag out because as soon as he tags in his partner was going to have a heart attack and die. lol Face it Flair was going to be in there with someone and if he was in a singles match with some nobody he’s going to do anything that he wants and probably die in there.
