The Water Temple in Ocarina of Time. All the complaints people have about it are 100@ correct. But I just love it.

I have little to no issues with weapon durability in Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Yeah it could be better but I think it helps with how to combat is and makes you think things out more.

I can see some of the animosity since you have to go through it twice in every playthrough but I genuinely like the ship part in Resident Evil 7. I didn't really "get" the game at first and heard the part after the houses sucked, so I was expecting the worst but it was my favorite part of the game the first time I played. I loved the character twist and how it was the most like an old RE game. I like it less as time went on but it's still pretty good in my eyes.

I actually like the opening of Kingdom Hearts 2 quite a bit. I don't really care about the plot of the series as a whole and grant that the opening doesn't really actually accomplish much of anything narratively within the rest of the game itself but people way overstate the length of it and I think the dreary atmosphere of it works really well. Plus I get a kick out of some of the goofier parts like the word "photo" being censored in just such a way as to make it sound like everyone is talking about porn and, "That was undeniable proof that we totally owned you lamers." Another one coming to mind, even while being aware of it backtracking issues chapter 4 of Thousand-Year Door is probably my favorite one in the game. ... Both involve places named Twilight Town, weird. I have little to no issues with weapon durability in Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Yeah it could be better but I think it helps with how to combat is and makes you think things out more. I don't necessarily mind the idea of it but I think in practice it's just poorly implemented. Weapons break basically after a single encounter so it's pointless to get attached to anything or to actually use any good weapons most of the time, but also you're continually tripping over amazing weapons so you're never actually in danger of running out. There's something to the idea of it but in practice it just feels clunkily implemented and like an exercise in wasting your time, and then as with most problems in BotW TotK learned absolutely nothing from it. Pretty much this exact same issue applies to the item durability in New Horizons for the same reasons.

Forklifting in Shenmue.
Hell, the whole game I just found so relaxing. I need to start Shenmue 2 at some point.

I always took a sick pleasure in watching others deal with that barrel sequence in Carnival Night Zone act 2.

I kind of like the intro section of Kingdom Hearts 2. It's not like Kingdom Hearts 1 didn't also have a fairly lengthy opening.
I think the Junction system in FF8 is honestly fine? Like, it isn't like the FF9 ability system is any less of a pain in the ass at times.

The Colter chapter in Red Dead Redemption 2 gets an extreme level of hate online, and is cited by a lot of players who gave up on the game as the reason why, but it may well be my favourite chapter in the game. It's just so damn atmospheric.

As much as the battle against Gate in MMX6 was tedious, I’ll admit it was fun in a kinda unique way. And the BGM also helped set the mood.
A lot of fighting game bosses also bring enjoyment from me despite being hard AF.

Guarma in RDR2, I don't mind it.
It wouldn't get so much hate if you could go back to it and actually explore.

Some people hate Blitzball. I thought it was awesome. I wish they'd release a full Blitzball game.

Like, it isn't like the FF9 ability system is any less of a pain in the ass at times. My problem with junction is you can completely ignore it for literally the entire game only to screw yourself over at the very end. Summons do like 900% more damage than like any attack so you can basically cruise through the game and then get massacred by the boss that kills your summons. It's like the developers realized that was a problem and instead of... like trying to fix any of the reasons you would do it that way... just make it an issue at the end of the game for playing wrong.

The ones I see the most hate for in Sonic Adventure 2 are the Knuckles/Rouge hot and cold mini game where the radar is super vague and the positions are randomized so they could be anywhere.

I think a lot of people found the sidequests and stuff in Dragon Age Inquisition tedious, with especially "get out of the Hinterlands ASAP" being common advice, but I enjoyed just sort of zenning out and doing them.
