Read this from www.prowrestling.com: TNA's X Division could very well be something of a legit sport's division. The booking team is looking to do a new concept that would differentiate itself from WWE. Their current idea would be a "shoot" style X Division which would feature a time limit in all the X Division Matches. The outcome of the match would be in the hands of real judges as they'd decide the outcome as a shoot on who was legitimately the best performer in the match. --------- Sounds very interesting to me.

Of course they'd have to exnay all the lame gimmicks that seem to be thrown their way but yeah, it could work.

It's different, but if they decide to go through with it, I'm not so sure it'll work.

This could be one of the cooler things in wrestling or turn in to Gooker 07.

Stupid idea.
Any time wrestling starts taking itself too seriously it doesn't work.

What, no nore Musical Chairs, no more spelling bees, jumping jacks and limbo contest. The X Division will be about actual wrestling. Wow, what an original concept. It wil be interesting to see if this will be able to work and gain the attention of the casual fan.
Who knows, maybe the VKM, Abyss the murder , "Virgin" Eric Young, and Christy Hemme Woman Rights Movement story lines will be eliminated too.

How long before the wrestlers start taking it too seriously and someone gets hurt or it kills off any momentium these guys have outside of the X Division?
I mean did TNA learn nothing from the Brawl For All?

I don't think it would work, how long would it be before guys are trying to make the other guy look bad in the ring just so they win the judges descision. If one wrestler just no sells everything and makes the other wrestlers moves look like crap does that make him the winner in the judges eyes.

Nothing is more believable in a fight a a bunch of guys doing flips. Seriously, if TNA wants this to work, they will need to totally revamp the X-Division roster. I'd love to see it become more mat based instead of the high flying aspect.

Also, and this I guess happened in Brawl 4 All too, but when the X division comes on, are they gonna go "OK, now we're gonna have real wrestling, as opposed to the fake, predetermined stuff you've been watching" When you try to mix real and scripted stuff together all you get is real shit.

Yes, it was mainly Flair's matches since he would usually get counted out, DQ'd or stall until the time limit was up to keep the title. Also, TNA used it in the early days of iMPACT! on FSN. Each match had a 10 minute time limit (Title matches had 15 minutes) and if they reached the limit a judge (at first it was Dusty Rhodes but, when he left Larry Z took over). They used it 3 or 4 times.
