This is not a sarcasm/satire thread.
I am seriously asking that out of the three most popular American wrestling federations, WWE, TNA, and ROH (I'm NOT saying that the three are equal to each other in popularity, they're just the three most popular right now in America,) which one do you feel is the most overrated?
Please explain your choice. For once, we (that includes me) should provide some good debate and constructive criticism.

ROH.
If it was so good, it'd have a national TV deal.
Flame away!

WWE. A lot of people refer to it as the best just because it's the biggest and most well known. They put on 5 hours of TV a week, and only 2 of them are quality in the least. Bigger doesn't equal better.

WWE can't be overrated, since everyone here says it sucks anyways. Hmm, so thats thrown out.
Between ROH and TNA, well, I mean TNA's talent wrestles on ROH a lot and put on better matches on ROH. People just watch that for their DVD's which always have amazing matches on it. So I'm throwing that out.
Which leave TNA, people say its big competition to WWE, but it's not, Impact is horrible.

ROH. If it was so good, it'd have a national TV deal. Flame away! I doubt you'll get flamed, but Gabe has said on several interviews that he doesn't want a TV deal and that he's content with how the promotion is being run as it is, and if they did get a TV deal they'd have to answer to sponsors and couldn't do things the way they used to.

It's gotten me flamed in similar threads in the "(w)rest" forum before. Thats seriously my (And I'm imagine lots of casual/WWE only fans as well) opinion, that if it was worth watching I wouldnt have to risk buying a DVD I dont like, they'd be good enough to be on TV.

TNA the fans just make me hate the product for some reason. They praise it as the future and what will be what wrestling is all about.
I don't want wrestling to be all about being a WCW/ECW/WWE wannabe.
ROH is overrated because of their fans too, saying that ROH wrestlers are the most original and refuse to acknowledge anything else.
WWE marks are bad too, but most of them are kids so yeah.
All in all I enjoy all 3, but PWG is my favorite indy right now, with WWE being my favorite "big" federation.
There's just no comparing the atmosphere of a WWE to any other wrestling show. Then again I am from Los Angeles, where most of us prefer to become kids again rather than being smark assholes.
it's those 14-16 year old pimple faced smarks that ruin wrestling events.

Obviously TNA will be voted most since this is in the WWE section ROH gives you your money's worth and has exciting wrestling. Yes overrated some. WWE is well... I'm not sure because most of WWE fans haven't seen TNA or ROH so they will say it's the best no matter what.

ROH, definitely. I haven't seen anything that good come out of there, and yet there's a hardcore fanbase for it. But whatever, different strokes for different folks, its just that out of the three, they are definitely the most overrated.

TNA has to be the most over-rated simply because it is the only real competition to the WWE and that in itself makes it over-rated because it isn't even remotely real competition

TNA, the die-hard fans have tried to do the following:
A) Convince me it's the new ECW B) that it's the alternative to WWE
I dunno, I've seen some things that the WWE did that were crap surface in TNA (wife-stalking, for example), plus the fact that their last PPV should've been "Total Nonstop Talking". Seriously, I'm not going to pay $30 for promos. Then let's add the fact that I can't remember most of what happened last week, probably cause there were only 3 or 4 relatively quick matches in an hour.
And it's definetely not the new ECW, I've watched Rise and Fall of ECW enough times to know you can never recapture that magic again, ever, well, that and ECW at least managed to get out of the ECW arena.

I'll say TNA. I like them but, for as much as they and their uber-fans claim to be a WWE alternative (or a wrestling company) they are nowhere near that. If anything they are WWE-Lite.
WWE is the standard bearer, IMO and its hard to be overrated when you set the ratings. The WWE has always been this way (ups and down, entertainment over wrestling at times) so I can't call them overrated.
I don't lump in RoH with WWE and TNA as they seem to be a wrestling company with story lines thrown in.

Hmm.....This is hard.
Squizz said, WWE can't be overrated because of the ratings and the big manopoly they have so can't really say that.
ROH is pretty much an alternative to TNA and WWE. 95% Wrestling with 5% Buildup and Promos. And name me anywhere else in America where you can see Japanese guys come in and get a good reception rather than be boo'd for being Japanese.
And TNA, I think, are in a downward scope in the same way as WWE except they're building up the fan base, which will help with the two hour special coming up when the Dog Show is on. As soon as that happens, you'll see the quality come through. Either that or Heyman replaces Russo. But definatly get out of the Impact Zone. PLEASE!
So, most overrated Wrestling Federation out of the three.......

I'd say WWE. They've got the big budget, they've got all the TV time, yet they rarely actually do anything I enjoy, and when they do they end up screwing it up anyway. TNA does do stupid stuff, yet every week I walk away from Impact feeling overall entertained and pumped for the next show, WWE just makes me want to go bitch on the internet and not watch the next week.

Well, Tajiri was over in WWE at times, and Tanaka was always over in ECW and got a good reception at the first ONS.....but, its rare that WWE puts any japanese wrestlers in a good light to GET them cheered.

The cons of each company:
WWE - too much lowbrow, not enough action on PPVs
TNA - CLAIMS to be an alternative, yet continuously provides lowbrow stuff as of late, and is transitioning itself into "WWE-Lite" as said before
ROH - lack of exposure, some of the elitist portions of its audience tend to be way too vocal, does some "minor league" things sometimes that can easily be avoided (such as counting down to promos, as well as some of the promos themselves)

I just don't see how ROH is overrated. Fans of it say ya, its sweet wrestling, and it is. They say nothing more, Homicide and Samoa Joe come on and put on sweet matches. I dunno, it does nothing more and nothing less than great wrestling.
