www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhSL7euYytwJust a cool titantron...i just remember marking out bigtime whe he debuted in the tazz /lawler match... I heard he gave an idea 2 creative about doing a gimmick linked to the film se7en...basically where he would play a character like kevin spaceys targeting wrestlers who commit the 7 deadly sins..or something..i think that would have rocked...its gotta be one of the biggest misuses of talent ever.

I don't think it was just the WWE as Raven had his own personal demons but, around the time of his return, the inVasion occurred and so much new talent came in, that he just got lost in the shuffle. He had his hardcore title run but, there were just too many people in front of him.

I remember the Se7en thing. All that really came of it was a few segments on Heat with him talking about his "masterpiece". Then a few weeks later he was released.

WWE ruined Raven for me, he was one of my favorites in WCW and ECW, then WWE just turns him in some Hardcore division guy. I guess his tna run has been good, i've just lost interest.

Hummm... Is it just me or.. it's a Cena titantron. Maybe there's just something that I don't get.

Raven was my favorite wrestler at the time and they managed to make him my least favorite jobber in a matter of months.

really?..i ddint think the se7en thing ever got started..what did he talk about? He talked about in a shoot interview. I don't remember all of the details, but it involved exposing a different Superstar for being guilty of a different deadly sin. The only guy whose name I remember being mentioned was Matt Hardy. Raven was going to break up Matt and Lita by showing Lita evidence that Matt might be guilty of Lust (cheating on her). Matt getting his revenge by destroying Raven in the blowoff match would have been Raven's version of getting shot by Brad Pitt, while killing Matt and Lita's relationship would have been the Jealousy part (killing Gwenyth in the movie). In the end, Raven would reveal that he did it all to cleanse his own soul.

The same way they normally screw things up: quickly and painfully.

Towards the end of his run in WCW is what ruined Raven and it just carried over into WWE. He did have his own problems, but that's what made him and his character so interesting. People buried him. He could bump, sell, and cut a promo with the best of them. Unlike most wrestlers, he just never got over enough, he was never givin the chance too.

He was over enough at one point in time in WCW, but Bischoff missed the boat by only pushing Hogan and friends.

Both the W's ruined Raven. Only in the ECW could he truly be Raven. WCW did allright with him for a time but the E butchered him pretty good. I remember how luvin upset I was when he changed his whole look trying to accomodate the E and he lost a loser is fired match. I'm sure there were other unseen forces at work but Raven is such a brilliant, let Scott figure it out himself and you'll be fine character. Raven may well be my alltime favorite.

I don't think WWE screwed up Raven that much as they booked him in great matches from WM 17 and Backlash 2001. Once the InVasion storyline came around, his character did not know what to do.

Yeah wasnt that loser leaves match 2 minutes long and on heat? I believe you are quite correct. Who was it against? It seems like it was somebody stupid. I remember being seriously into the match cause I didn't want my boy to get fired but I can't for the life of me remember who he faced.

It was actually against Dreamer. They were doing a half of a half of an ass attempt to rekindle their ECW fued.
