The whole fourth wall scenario with backstage segments. The commentators should atleast say something about a hidden camera or anything to make it seem less sitcom-ish

I'll add sleeper holds and bear hugs. They lost all meaning I still mark for old school sleeper holds--the pic in my sig is 2 months old. Bear hugs also seemed weird though, unless actually done by a Russian heel.

RVD's selling of the Five-Star Frog Splash. Everytime it happens, I know his little freakout about how much it hurt HIM is coming. And every single time, it pisses me off. It'd be like Triple H rolling around grabbing his knees after a Pedigree, or Stone Cold whining about how bad his tailbone hurts after a Stone Cold Stunner. Really? I appreciate that he actually sells that a top rope splash would affect both wrestlers, unlike almost everyone else who does one.

That two main event guys together can beat a well established tag team without much difficulty.
Bull, one of the things I liked about Bill Watt's booking is that established, experienced tag teams could beat even the top level guys because they had the tag team formula and strategy down pat.

1. A mid-card guy can't beat a top guy without a ref bump and/or interference. They should incorporate an 'any given sunday' deal. A mid-carder could beat a top guy in a hard fought match without making the guy look weak. It would help both guys.
2. Lack of long term feuds. 99% of the feuds last 3 weeks or so and end at the PPV. Why not have a feud that goes on and off for a couple years.

Certainly on free TV, you very rarely have the matches with the quality to do that.

Big men in Battle Royals/Royal Rumbles: If someone the size of Big Show or Yokozuna were to simply sit in the corner, there is NOBODY on this planet who is going to get 500+ lbs of dead weight over the top rope. Especially when that dead weight is fighting back. And they wouldn't be able to get enough people in that small space to team up and eliminate him.
Similarly, in many cases, if someone the size of the Big Show were to sit on your shoulders, you're NOT getting up. Period. I don't care how much you can bench press, or how much you fight back. You're not getting up unless he lets you. He's going to be fighting to keep you down, and his quarter-ton-ass on your chest will make breathing next to impossible.
Weapons. How can Wrestler X take one chair shot and be laid out unconscious for several minutes on Raw.......setting up the "Street fight" match on the next PPV 6 days later........where he takes like 943 chair shots and comes back to win the match. Replace chair shot with title belt, going through a table, etc.
GM's have the power to strip wrestlers of their titles at will. So, instead of having some long "heel GM vs. face champ" feud, why doesn't the heel GM simply strip the face Champ of the belt?
As many others have mentioned.........the total lack of storyline continuity. Hardys vs. MNM is a prime example. For no apparent reason, A raw guy teams up with a smackdown guy. They invade ECW and issue an open challenge. This challenge is answered by another Raw guy and a smackdown guy (Shouldn't two ECW wrestlers be answering a challenge being issued by two ECW invaders to fight on an ECW PPV?) who was not only (kayfabe) FIRED six months ago, but was last seen being beaten like a dog by the guy he's now teaming up with! Shouldn't they be FEUDING? So we've got brothers from two different shows taking on ex-teammates from two different shows fighting on a PPV for a third show for no reason..............I'll stop now, my head is hurting.

Anyone getting hit by a title belt is more effective than a wrestlers finisher. Hogans weighlifting belt has people rolling around as though being hit by a Tazer. Agree with the "suprprise" attacks but with music playing. Also in speciality matchs why do refs give a 5 count in the ropes or corners if there is no DQ stipulation? Why have tag teams in ECW if there is no tag title to go for?

The commentators should atleast say something about a hidden camera or anything to make it seem less sitcom-ish I always find it really absurd when the heels talk about their evil plans in full veiw of a camera. You'd think the face wrestlers would be smart enough to watch the TVs backstage.

In falls count anywhere matches you can pin someone in the street but if they are in the ropes in the ring they just can't count it.
Just take a ring rope with you, you'll never get pinned.
Also in No DQ matches. If someone gets to the ropes the ref will count to 5 and it must be released. Why? It's no DQ, STFU!

I dont know if this bothers me as much as it amuses me. But when a ref has his back turned so someone can interfere or cheat and the ref turns around too early and gets that !!!! look and shoots his head back around as if he didn't just see what happened. But one more that bothers me along the same page: A ref has his back turned in a one on one match. One guy is on the floor and the ref is yelling at them. Meanwhile the other guy gets attacked and slammed or something. You mean you really didn't feel the ring shaking? Or HEAR it? You think the guy was just jumping around the ring slamming himself?

Whenever a champion is getting pinned and one of the announcers goes: "We're gonna have a new champion!!!"...and then the champion kicks out EVERY SINGLE TIME.
That's, like, the most annoying thing ever.

Supernatural powers. Really you would think Kane would have finished a match with a lightning strike to the opponent.
