you'd appreciate it?! i'd appreciate it if you took your fat, smelly, no good, star wars watchin', anakin larpin', naked leia fan fiction readin' ass out of my face!* I must apologize, for I refuse to stoop to your level of negative and vile jabs at one's appearance personal hygiene. Now, if you'll excuse me, there is a Star Trek: Voyager marathon on this evening.

I call it ECW because that's the name of it.
"WWECW" is a derogatory term, no matter how many people will come in this thread and say it isn't. It really is.
If more people on this board spent more time watching ECW and picking out the highlights of the show (other than 'I only watch for Punk. He no on show. Me no watch.') rather than thinking of "funny" little ways to knock the program then things might be a lot better around here and guys like the guy who posted this in the first place won't feel bombarbed by so many people disagreeing with him.
My only issue is that this thread is definitely in the wrong section.

I tend to call it re-CW, as it's a crappy remake of ECW.

I think it was his way of saying that people calling it "WWECW" is stupid and slightly ignorant... i just think it makes people sound like tools... again, with the whole analogy i wrote up above...

Only if you consider "WWE" a derogatory term.

Oh and make no mistake, whatever I happen to call it, it'll still watch it tonight. Even with the crappy main event guys, the undercard is still a pretty damn good show.

I still call it ECW. Anyone who calls it WWECW is just what jerk smarks call it to belittle it because it's not what they remember.
Well, guess what, ECW will never be what it used to be. Never. Even if Paul E. comes back and brings Raven, Douglas, New Jack, and the rest of the well known ECW names, it will still never be like the original ECW. So quit yer complain and/or rude femalein' and either grin and bear it or just shut the wax up!
(this rant would looked so much better before the censors got to it. Damn foul language filters!)
I also now just watch the first half and turn it to WSX. It's so much better.

Then I guess I'm a "jerk smark". Yeah, it's not what ECW was. It's a Sportz Entertainment mutation. It's a pale copy of a pale copy of ECW. It's WWECW. And that's why I don't watch it at all. So I think I'll keep calling it that, thanks. Jed Shaffer ~*Scans Constitution ... scans Constitution* Yup, 1st Amendment. Still there.

Cursing doesn't get your point across anyways, I notice. As for me, I call it that because it has the WWE influence, so it is. Not saying I hate and loathe it, but that's what it is to me, and I probably wouldn't call it that if it were still WWF, as WWFCW doesn't sound that good. The show is decent, and at times better than TNA, but I see no harm at all in calling it WWECW, don't complain about something that is trivial.

I've always hated the term "WWECW," and I often pointed out how stupid it was, on this board and on others. Real ECW fans would come up with a more creative term for the new ECW. The WWE writers don't bother being creative when it comes to WWECW ... so why should we? LOL. Good point. If we wanted to be sincere, we'd simply refer to it as 'crap.' But really, I'd say the main reason why we call it WWECW is because its not the real thing; this is Vince McMahon's mockery of ECW which does not do Heyman's once mighty promotion justice. Yeah, WWECW sounds "retarded," but it suits the "retarded" nature of the product. If this current ECW product was given the opportunity to live out the legacy that had one final hurrah at the original One Night Stand PPV, NO ONE would have any problem referring to the product in question as simply "ECW."

Which if you look at this thread....he hasn't posted a thing since his first post.

Yeah, people's dislike of the current ECW has everything to do with it not being the old ECW, and nothing to do with it being a crappy show. And telling people to "grin and bear it" over something they don't like doesn't look good, regardless of whether or not your precious little curse words are filtered.

Maybe Guy A left, I'm sure if he were here, he'd defend himself, but my comments after the first one were geared towards others who commented in this thread.

"Ah, lace...the final brasierre! Hey, what the..." Yeah, it's Extreme Nitro. Actually I prefer to call it Extreme Thunder. Nitro had a lot of great shows. The only thing good about Thunder was Stevie Ray's "Suckas gots to know" and "Fruitbooty" catchphrases but that got old real fast. ECW hasn't hit Thunder level yet but it's getting close.

If Guy A wants to counter that, good for him. But the unpopularity of the product on Tuesday nights on the Sci-Fi Channel (just looking at the ratings) would seem to indicate that neo-ECW apologists are in the vast minority. And, if you're in such a minority, and you voice your opinion, you're liable to get barraged with dissenters. That's just mathematics. Jed Shaffer ~Here, allow me to share a non-majority opinion guaranteed to get people riled up: I hate Mr. Kennedy. Pile on, folks.
