I ignored the Luger, Stamp,Snitsky and Phone (Phony Kane) crazes What is this "Phone (Phony Kane) Craze" that everyone is suddenly talking about? I've been visiting the WC board consistently for months, and yet, today is the 1st I've ever heard of this! Last year before the release of See No Evil, Kane was haunted by something and hated hearing the date May 19. Eventually, a second Kane, dressed in 1997/1998 gear, appeared and some people on here called him Phone (short for Phony Kane).

But the unpopularity of the product on Tuesday nights on the Sci-Fi Channel (just looking at the ratings) would seem to indicate that neo-ECW apologists are in the vast minority. What? ECW is the third highest rated (out of the 6. Four are WWE shows) wrestling program and it is unpopular? What about TNA iMPACT! and WSX? Since they have lower ratings they are worse or less popular? Outside of the people on the Internet, ECW seems popular and more loved than WSX and Impact who are on better networks and in WSX's case have more promtional dollars thrown behind it. So, being slightly higher in the ratings than AM Raw makes ECW popular? WSX has only been on TV for two weeks! WWE has far more marketing behind their product(s) than MTV's rinky dink operation. And I don't really think Spike TV is a better network than the Sci-Fi channel.

I remember seeing Kane go nuts in reaction to the mention of May 19th... What threw me off was the time discrepancy between the time at which that angle aired, and the time at which it became a "craze" at WC. Once again, this is the 1st time I've ever seen someone mention that angle on the WC board (and as you can tell from my post count, I'm no noob). Admittedly, I don't venture into the WWE section very much...

And I don't really think Spike TV is a better network than the Sci-Fi channel. I am not saying that having higher ratings than AM RAW makes it popular, that is my question based off what he wrote. He said looking at the ratings, ECW wasn't popular yet, TNA and WSX have lower ratings yet are appearently more loved (well maybe not WSX but I just threw them in they are on TV although they have a good following on here) and that doesn't make sense. If more people watch ECW than TNA than logic (and the ratings) says that ECW is more popular. WSX has (at least in my area) had commercials on the radio and on Dish Network which is more than I have seen of TNA and WWE thus my saying WSX has had more promtional dollars behind it. Spike TV is in far more homes than The Sci Fi Channel making it the better network to be on since you have a bigger potential audience (I should I have been more clear on that).

"WWECW", while not all that creative, is just fine.
To me, it's pretty vital to distinguish between the two at every oppurtunity neccessary. I shudder to think that, one day, I might be discussing Sabu vs. 2 Cold Scorpio, and someone might think I'm talking about "that show with Test".
