I can't believe it. Another one gone.
Mike Awesome was a great big man who could have been successful in the big leagues if it wasn't for Russo saddling him with a stupid gimmick and McMahon wasting him.
RIP, Mike.

I just realised that one month ago today Bigelow passed, and now we've lost another true great as well. Both are still absolutely shocking to me, RIP to both men.

I wonder if HOLLYWOOD HULK HOGAN will get a chance to speak on this. Mike was practically family. I heard they were related..in what way were they kinda related?

I believe they are related through Horace. Horace and Awesome are cousins, but Awesome doesn't have any Hogan blood.

Yeah, I know I should expect it, but I just hate how they link that to the crappy "WWECW". As though he was a part of that abomination of an organization. I dunno. If you consider the first One Night Stand to be part of the new ECW, then he was. Not that any of this matters. I actually considered that PPV as the last true ECW event. Even though there was a huge WWE presence involved, I felt it was the last true show. ONS 2 was completely the opposite for me.

Man, I've been away from the computer for most of the day, and I come back to see this.
Rest In Peace, Gladiator.
This has been a horrible year for wrestlign, hasn't it?

A sad, sad day. In a coincidence, just this morning I was watching his ONS match and thinking how great it was. It was the match of the night.
Rest in peace, Awesome.

If I say anything more than just three letters I will be saying nothing of value.
So simply RIP to the man that was simply Awesome.

I am getting so sick of this. I dread looking at the news anymore. I can't...I can't
I'm sorry this shouldn't be about me. I'm here to say my thoughts on Mike Awesome. God he was special. Mike was a three hundred plus man who could move like a crusierweight. So much potential. So much damn potential.
I remember the first time I saw him. It ranks up there with my favorite matches. Awesome vs. Tanaka ECW Dec. 1999. The rematch. This is when Mike got his title back right before his feud with Spike. I was blown away it was so good.
Goodbye Mike. You never got your proper due here in America. You deserved more and for that I'm sorry.
Thank you. I was a fan.
