No one has bumped this thread in a while... oops. Sorry. lol Seriously though you're right. This thread has about run out of possible ECW opponents for HOLLYWOOD HULK HOGAN. You have to admit though that it was a good area for discussion.

I really, really do not want to start some sort of flame-war, but isn't an Axe Bomber basically a clothesline? And hasn't every wrestler since the beginning of time used that move? Otherwise, you're right, and I never looked at it that way. But I still say, instead of blaming the promotors, (who, granted, are also to blame) let's see Hogan do a moonsault. Ain't gonna happen, even if Vince demanded it. So what? Hogan cant do a moon sault big deal! I never saw Bret Hart or Samoa Joe pull one off either

It was round at his house, we all dared him to, then they all realised i was breaking and entering and chased me out of Canada.
Great days, long gone.

Back on topic:
I agree with something someone said earlier in this thread.... if u put Hogan in the ECW Arena or the Hammerstien Ballroom, un annoucned he'd get a pop that was the biggest pop of the night....
Cause ECW fans respect the business...

I'm pretty sure it would be the loudest "boo" ever heard. So, if that counts as a pop...

I'm pretty sure it would be the loudest "boo" ever heard. So, if that counts as a pop... I dunno, I think there's a SMALL chance Hogan might get a huge pop. But, the more likely scenario, he gets booed....at least he would have the professionalism and the good sense to play off those boos and act heelish, unlike Mr Deer In The Headlights "They...DONT Like Me?!" Batista. And I'm sorry but I dont remember when doing a moonsault or a frankensteiner became the measuring stick for who can work and who can't. If thats the case, 90% of america's past and present Yard Tards are better than Ric Flair and The Undertaker.

I'm pretty sure it would be the loudest "boo" ever heard. So, if that counts as a pop... Upon first ariving HOLLYWOOD HULK HOGAN would have gotten a huge pop. What ECW fans wanted more than anything else was to become as big as the WWF or WCW. If HOLLYWOOD HULK HOGAN would have gone to ECW the fans would have blown the roof off of the bingo hall as it would have ment that they had arived. If he were to come in and badmouth ECW as an inferior product he would have gotten booed. But at the same time he would have also won the hearts of the fans and imediately become the #1 heal.

I dunno. Hogan represents all that ECW never stood for. If he showed up in the Hammerstein ballroom in front of a faithful crowd, I'm pretty sure he'd be covered in chairs in mere seconds.

I dont know, it was surprising what could get over in ECW....everyone from Dusty Rhodes (Cartoonish in his own rights, yet more "respectable" than Hogan to smarks for some reason) and Sycho Sid to a fat guy with blue hair and daisy dukes got big pops....Hogan might not be TOO outlandish, but I still say he would've only been good as a heel in ECW.

Dusty got over for being remembered as a tough guy who could brawl with the best of them from his pre-WWF days.
Sid - i dunno, that was bizarre, im a Sid mark anyway though.
