As long as they brought some new people up to help fill time rather than having extra HHH, Cena, HBK segments, it could be good. Bam Bam? Uhm....

No. More time means more filler and stuff. Unless they gonna end the draft, then 3 hours is a real bad idea...

I still think this would only work if the brand split was ended. Otherwise there would be FAR too much wrestling during the week. Maybe if Raw was three hours, SmackDown was ninety minutes, and ECW became an hour long Heat show it could work.

No way am I taping a 3 hour show.
The poor fast-forward button on the remote control's going to be completely tired out.

Three hour Raw? I said in another thread that these things lately have been an overkill.(Paraphrasing what I said.) I mean think about the week a PPV is on. WAY to much. This would ultimately be a bad idea I think. I hate to say it, but they have NO undercard that people would care about enough anymore to fill three hours. The talent is there, just the crowd seems to be pretty much dead when these guys come out. I haven't been to a live event to know if anyone gets any big pops, but on TV, it doesn't look like the undercard gets much of a reaction at all. The way WWE has booked, the only people who get reactions are the core few they choose to shove down our throats.

Some good might come of it: quite a few wrestlers might finally get on TV now.
Also, a lot of them could use decent vignettes to get the crowd into them.

Austin coming back? I'm all for it. I am too it's just that we'll get more Cena and Lashley as well. Can you imagine how you're gonna feel when Austin taps out to the STFU? On second thought, NO! keep it at 2 hours.

Besides, no way Austin jobs for Cena.
Though Austin jobbing for Mr. Kennedy is possible.
As for the 3-hours thing, you know why RAW at its peak during the Attitude Era was Must Watch TV? Thats where the company's best workers...well, worked. No seperate brands, no seperate PPVs, none of that nonsense. At that time, WWF had only what, 3 hours of programming a week (on a non-PPV week at least), with 2 hours being RAW.
But otherwise, there were STORIES....FEUDS....you know, stuff that easily could have sold if RAW had gone 3 hours back in the day.
But now? No idea.

I think they just have too many wrestlers to make that work again.
There's no reason for WWE to want to go back to one big WWE. They'd have to slash their profits, and fire like half the roster.

Exactly. And the problem is, they don't have the roster to make 3 hours work. Though who knows, maybe with 3 hours they can finally make feuds happen again, with more time to work on, building up for a PPV bout.

Baddddddddd idea. They barely have the roster for a 2 hour show, now imagine that stretched over another hour, with WWE's bad creative team. Now imagine the stress the workers are under now increased also. That plus the audience will channel hop, or just miss out large chunks of it. And it removes the specialness of having a monthly 3 hour PPV.

if it goes three hours, they DEFINATELY need to increase the roster up to about 50

If Raw were to go to three hours, they'd absolutely have to end the brand split.

This may sound kinda odd but I still like to tape Raw and SD. I use the 6hr kind cause there are cheaper. So with the six hour tapes I can rec 2 Raws and a SD show. But if they make all Raws 3hrs then that means only 2 shows per tape. I tape Raw/ecw/Sd everyweek, Glad im not the only one.

Nitro went to 3 hours once, and look how that turned out. Dude, it only went to hell when WWF raided WCW's midcard. Even before then, 3 hours was too much, and for almost all of that time Nitro and Saturday Night were the only shows (which meant four hours a week). Thunder wasn't added to the mix until the end of the 3 hour runs, if I recall correctly.
