wait, i just realized...isn't Phil Muchnick that guy who has a pathological hatred of Vince McMahon? Or am I thinking someone else. Two seperate assholes. Phil Muchnick is a favorite target of Jim Cornette. The only thing they have in common is that all facts are distorted.

I just need to clear this up:
Phil Mushnick is the writer for the NY Post who hates all things wrestling. Irv Muchnick has written several books on wrestling, and has worked closely within the business.
Two totally different people and, as far as I know, they are not related.
That out of the way, while I wouldn't be surprised by anything that happen in WWE in light of recent events, I have a few problems believing this story. Honestly, I think that even if it is true, its a bit irresponsible to print it while naming Randy specifically.
It will be interesting to see what, if anything come out of this story.

If this is true, and I dont really think it is... FIRE HIS ASS BEFORE HE DOES ITAnd if you thought the WWE had a PR problem before. If this is true, Vince best get Orton some help. Depression effects everyone, it doesn't matter how famous you are. I've got no doubt that if this was true, Vince would get Orton some help.

Yea, Randy Orton has been known as "The Legend Killer" since his days in Evolution.

Brian Pillman also passed away that weekend, but for totally different reasons.

I just don't see Orton as the suicidal type. Then again, I didn't see Benoit as the type who would murder his family.

Well, Orton didn't come out like a fully balanced human being, at least according to the stories told by a doctor (was he a doctor) who worked with Randy when he was (supposed to be) in the army.
I vaguely remember something about delusional behaviour or so...
A link to that story would be interesting.

You know I've never considered wrestlers real celebrities, and I've never really considered f4w weekly or wrestling observer or the like as bad as the enquirer or the globe, because they mostly talk about the workplace, rather than dwelling on the guys personal lives. We have yet to hear, for example, problems Booker or Sharmell might be having or whether Kristal is cheating on Lashley.
But now, we've had 12 pages talking about an incident with Randy Orton that may or may not have happened outside an arena with a fan , and now a story about a possible suicide attempt will be all over the internet in no time . And that's not including all the other aspects of his personal life that have been discussed to death.
Obviously, if he did commit try suicide I'd care because I'm a fan, but I also accept it's neither your business or mine to discuss it. Who benefits from knowing this? The company? Well, they already know to according to Mushnik. Anyone else feel that they needed to know this?
I just wish everyone would leave him alone.

Orton acquired the gimmick “Legend Killer” after WWE blithely turned Eddie Guerrero’s 2005 death into just another “angle”. Umm...what? Randy Orton has been doing this gimmick since 2002 or 2003, and Eddie Guerrero wasn't murdered.

I fear now that if this gets out even more, fans will taunt him about it, and that is not on.

Obviously this is a very serious allegation but since he's in the public eye and the information gets out to the public, then we have a right to discuss it because it's already out there. We can't unlearn what's already been stated. Nothing's sacred when you're a celebrity. It's a two way street.
