I always am suspicious of "very well-placed sources." They tend to be convenient figments of the author's imagination, especially when he or she is trying to promote a new book. I mean, I have heard Orton is depressive and has been troubled in the past, but I honestly wouldn't believe he was suicidal based on such slight evidence. Just like people couldn't believe Chris Benoit would kill his family. Chris didn't really show any outward signs either.

I just said that this particular report lacked any credibility, especially as it initially got the facts wrong about Orton's gimmick AND the person behind it has now backtracked and changed his story. That's not exactly the hallmark of reliable journalism.

He started his Legend Killer gimmick when he attacked Mick Foley at MSG on an episode of Raw on 2003. Hence why I said 2 years before, which would've been 2005 when Eddie died, he started it in '03

These reports could be 100 % true, or worse, understating what is, or has occurred. As Fans we don't really know these people. But considering the source (This Muchnick guy) is supposedly knowledgable on this subject yet already shown several mistakes, and doesn't seem (IMO) too impartial where WWE Matters are concerned, we have to rely on our common sense, and what little we do know, before choosing to believe. As the previous poster mentioned, the blog uses "well placed sources", and the problem with such a vague and anonymous knowledgebase is that it requires us to trust both the reporter, and this unknown source as being honest, adn without bias on this issue. Orton is well known to be a jerk backstage to some people....is it such a stretch to think an offended crew member, or Diva thought this would be a good "Rib" on Randy, as payback for something or other.

I doubt this is true the guy has some problems but i don't see him as suicidal. I also couldn't see WWE completely ignoring it either so i say it's bs.
