OMG Stephanie tries to help someone but does the wrong thing, what a bitch. Sometimes you guys are just dicks. So despite the fact there were numerous EMTs on hand, she thought she could somehow make a difference? Yeah, right, whatever. It was their job not hers and I will not waver from my position that she shouldn't have done anything. Call me a dick if you must, but words are just words. |

RANDOM FACT OF THE DAY:
If you watched the WWE.com video of medical staff attending to Candice Michelle backstage at Monday’s RAW than you probably noticed Candice asking for some water. In the video you can clearly hear Stephanie McMahon say “let her drink” as she tries to give Candice a drink. Candice takes a sip and starts to gag and begins to panic. One doctor that I talked to said that giving a pre-hospital patient any water is a big no-no and that thirst is one of the signs and symptoms of a spinal injury. If you watched RAW on Monday you may have noticed that they tried to give Candice water in the ring as well, obviously not realizing the severity of her injury.

Sadly, this thread really shows the IWC bias. Steph did something stupid, but it wasn't even in the same league as Beth or the referee's enormous screw up. It probably wasn't even as bad as the EMT's that let her give water to someone knowing it would interere with any possible emergency surgery.
But still, the only one getting the heat is Stephanie. Whatever.

Because, Candice was the responsibility of the EMTs, it's their job to make sure that proper care is administered. If that means preventing Stephanie from trying to offer unwanted help, then that is the EMT's job. Unless Stephanie is trained in the medical field it isn't really her fault whatsoever. As far as Beth and the ref go, I think they deserve a bit of a break. They had to react immediately, and they didn't have the benefit of a slow-mo replay. Beth was probably shocked and unsure of what was going on, and when the ref told her to do something she wasn't expecting to do.....she probably didn't think about it. I would definitely like to hear her side of this story, though. |
