How much you want to bet if CM Punk were the one to do this and were criticized for it the board would be up in arms "he was just trying to help!." He would have offered her Pepsi, though. EDIT: Every time I read this thread title, I think of a strangle-hold, and wonder how it can be done accidentally, and then I chuckle to myself at the visuals. Just thought I'd let you all know that. |

Sadly, this thread really shows the IWC bias. Steph did something stupid, but it wasn't even in the same league as Beth or the referee's enormous screw up. It probably wasn't even as bad as the EMT's that let her give water to someone knowing it would interere with any possible emergency surgery. But still, the only one getting the heat is Stephanie. Whatever. |

That and the fact that there was no way to know at first exactly what was wrong with her. I mean, the EMTs tried to give her water too. And some people are saying it was a mistake for the ref to have Beth pull Candice to the middle of the ring and pin her, but what were they supposed to do? It's really easy to have not been there and then look back on it already knowing what's wrong with Candice and say what people should or shouldn't have done but when a situation like that happens, people usually don't know what to do at first. |

I guess this just shows that Candice DID impress people with her ability and willingness to learn to get her job.
Most of the other divas depended on a horizontal swallow to even get hired.

OK, Steph was just trying to help. But what made her think she could be more helpful than the medical professionals who were already there. This was in the middle of the show, so it's not like Stephanie didn't have something else she could have been doing at the time the wheeled Candice backstage. Steph had to have literally dropped whatever it was she was doing before the injury with the sole expressed purpose of running to Candice's resque. Steph should have done what she is best at, and that is nothing.
