Vader, Awesome and Bam Bam most definitely. Morgan and O'Haire as well. Letting Tyson Tomko and Giant Silva go too, was dumb. All the latter two needed was the experience in Japan, but WWE should've helped to arrange it for them and kept them under contract or at least tried to get them back.

I liked A-Train but I hated his name. That could make or break ya in some cases. I agree with Vader. He should have had a run with the belt for a while. He could have squashed HBK and whatnot. HBK could have won the belt back after a couple of months. It would have been a good angle if they did the old Hogan/Earthquake thing when Hogan was "put on the shelf". Have HBK all hurt and then make the huge comeback. Instead soon after we get Vader swearing on a PPV losing to Kane and then many years later stumbling and falling on his ass. Poor guy.

A few things I gotta argue about... You guys keep saying the following people were misses on the WWE's part...
Mike Awesome: Mike Awesome was fun to watch, definitely, but at least half of his repertoire was finding different places to do the Awesome-Bomb. I'm not knocking it, it really worked for him, but that type of wrestling would never have been allowed in the WWE. (Hell, look at Tazz, who was forced to work in more submissions because so many of his suplexes were wayyyyyy too dangerous.) Without his Awesome-Bombs, Mike Awesome is just... Mike.
Nathan Jones: The WWE tried as hard as they could with this guy. Hell, they teamed him up with The Undertaker for god's sake! I mean, how much faith does that show in Nathan Jones when they planned on him essentially being Taker's protege? Also, it was Nathan's fault it didn't work out in the end and he was an abysmal wrestler.
Tomko: The guy has nothing without Christian. He's the proverbial straight man, but he needs somebody to work it off of to actually make it seem like he has charisma. I'm not knocking his wrestling talent because I do think he's a talented big man, but he's nowhere near big enough to use that as a basis, and he doesn't have enough charisma alone to get himself over.
Now, some I agree with...
A-Train: A big guy with talent and actual charisma! He looked so comfortable in whatever stupid angle they had him in (including as the Hip Hop Hippo) and definitely got along well with the crowds. I think going back to Japan was better for him, though, and do hope to see him back in the WWE at some point.
Kurrgan: Stretching back to the Truth Commission days, I wish the whole group was used a bit more effectively, but I think that Kurrgan with The Jackyl (Don Callis) as his mouthpiece would've been on par with the current pairing of Big Daddy V and Matt Striker (The grouping, in my opinion, was genius).

Vader could have been over longer as a monster.
Mike Awesome was som damaged goods when WWE got him. If he came straight fro ECW, he would've been a star.
Matt Morgan.

Definitely Vader, Mike Awsome, and Matt Morgan. None of them were used correctly because in the case of Vader and Awsome they were stars elsewhere and Vince only puts over his creations or guys who he recreates in his own image and Morgan was given that stupid stuttering gimmick. He had no chance at all. I would argue to a degree Goldberg during his WWE run, but, again it has been well documented how Vince took everything that made him popular in WCW (the theme song, his rougher style, and his status as a monster) and got rid of it so that he could recreate Goldberg in Vince's image and so that no one could be a bigger monster than the almighty King of Kings, WWE's personal Jesus, Triple H. But, this was also true for Awsome (although by this point they had given up on him), Scott Steiner, and many other former WCW/ECW performers who were put with the ultimately invincible Game.

I'm surprised they never tried to bring in Reese. I know he wasn't much in the ring, but when has that stopped vince.

Mike Awesome was the most mis-used big-man in history (aside from possibly Bam Bam) outside of ECW.
He was far and away the most exciting guy of his stature in modern day wrestling.

Holy crap, that is one killer vignette. Jones was made out to be the ultimate killing machine, whom upon his entry would beat the crap out of everyone in the WWE. He looked like a monster and was built like a tank, but sadly couldn't live up to the hype. I wish someone could help him improve,so Vince and co. could give him one more shot. Another group of guys the WWE missed out on,EVEN when they had the chance, were the globe traveling duo that are THE HEADHUNTERS! Holy crap did Vince miss out on these two.The Headhunters were BAR NONE the most awe inspiring,no-nonsense,utterly bad-ass tag team since the Road Warriors. In their day, these two were freakin' AMAZING for being as massive as they were, they have one of the most devastatingly brutal ring styles I've ever seen, were as light on their feet as Vader and Bam Bam in their prime, could get a killer match out of anyone, and used tremendous tag team maneuvers. If their were used properly, their WWE run should have skyrocketed their careers, and would possibly be hall of fame worthy. If you're still in doubt by this point, take a look at this video. www.youtube.com/watch?v=jViW_yyJwvg

I definately agree with the headhunters, was watching them on IWA a while back and wondered why it was the only place I'd seen them. Also agree with the mismanagement of Mike Awesome, Vader and Matt Morgan, Nathan Jones screwed it up for himself didn't he? And Steiner would've been fine if the roid rage hadn't done him in, or do we not talk about that?

Think about how much credibility Mike Awesome being the one to DESTROY Big Show for the ECW title would have given the belt, or him being the one to beat RVD for it would have given the new ECW, and then join me in wondering what the hell Vince was thinking when he didn't make this happen.
Awesome was alive and unemployed at the time, right? So what the smurf?

I completely forgot Dan Spivey/Waylon Mercy. Of course, the problem there was injuries, but still that character kicked four kinds of ass.

Sean O' Haire is my pick, without a doubt. They totally wasted his talent...he possessed a good look, an interesting gimmick, and was ridiculously agile for a man his size. Seconded. I especially loved in WCW when he'd throw his odd looking elbows and spin kicks. Hell, if he'd have turned his blue flame shorts from WCW into long pants, he could have been a pro wrestling version of Jin Kazama.... And I'd have marked harder than I already was for him.
