When fans talk about the best big men in wrestling, names like Andre the Giant,Big Van Vader, and Bam Bam Bigelow often come to mind, but very rarely do they bring up the name of two-time AJPW tag team champion, and salty UWFi veteran. GARY ALBRIGHT It is a darn shame that this future hall of famer's only exposure in mainstream American wrestling was from a handful of ECW matches. You'd expect a man of his great size and his exceptional ability would have made a helluvan impact had he hit it big in the states. He was great because he would begin with all the "hoss moves" that you would usually see from the big guys from the WWE,only its Gary doing these moves,so it looks like the other guys getting butchered alive. So after a few more hoss moves he busts out the most beautifully executed german suplexes I've seen this side of Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle. After driving some poor losers head into the mat with said German suplexes, he slaps on some crazy submission that you wouldn't normally see from a guy his size and turns the other guy into a pretzel. Watching this dude in action is unbelievable. Here is a man who's as big as a house, able to out-wrestle men half his size. Usually the smaller more technically sound wrestler has to carry the big man through a match and make it watchable. But with Gary, the reverse has to happen. He was THAT good. Sadly, he was one of many wrestlers who died before his time, and passed away in the ring at 36. Oh and check out this tribute video. www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqMFJk2oyyA

Mike Awesome could have been a very big star in the WWE. Agreed.

you see had Albright not had that heart attack i think him and Dr. Death would have been an awesome tag team in WWE.

I thought Matt Morgan could have been more. Mike Awesome never did much, though WCW really wasted him too. I think they should have utilized Bam Bam as a top heel.

Oh absolutely, and it was very likely that Gary would have made it to the WWE eventually, because Gary is an extended member of the Wild Samoan family, who have always had a great connection with the Mcmahons. If Williams hadn't already humiliated himself in the Brawl for all fiasco, they would have made a killer team in the WWE which at that point had awesome tag teams. Would have loved to see them duke it out with the APA and watch them try to out-stiff each other.

Bam Bam Bigelow times 100000 Vader next Mike Awesome next Claudio Castagnoli next I mean, why hire him then fire him? (and it wasn't visa issues, Claudio's said so)
And Burchill may end up being another one.

Although he had already worked with WWE,and if he hadn't already passed away, the return of the man who would forever change the wrestling business would have made a splash in the quick rising WWE. The man Mick Foley based his entire career on........ BRUISER BRODYWhat could have been.......Bruiser Brody may have had to tone down his act(A LOT!) but I'm confident that he would have made a BIG impact on the then flourishing WWE. At a supposed 6'8 350 lbs Brody was built like a Patton tank, but he could move very quickly, far more quickly then the other big guys Vince had on the roster, and he was able to wrestle extraordinarily if he had to(Like in his matches with Ric Flair). With his size, ability, and out of control promos(ANNNNDDD....I'MMM GUNNA KEEP HITTIN' YA!!II'M GUNNA KEEP HITTIN' YA!!FATSOOOO!!!) their was much money to be made if he made it to the WWE. On a side note, according to his book that was released about a year ago,it mentioned that after his tour of Puerto Rico, and an upcoming mega feud with Stan Hansen,Brody had plans to head to the WWE for one last trip to the top of the mountain.

To be different and not bring up the obvious names, even with everything he's done, they never really gave the Big Show much respect. All the titles he held and all the feuds he was in. They could have done a much better job of building up his first year or so.
But, no. They have him lose clean to Austin in his first month. That never made any sense to me.

I will agree with the Big Show to an extent, even when he wasn't running around as Shonan the Barbarian, orteaming with Spike/Tajiri he was never truely booked as a monster. He's so much bigger than everybody else, and yet he's booked as a big oaf.
