I thought he was the worst part of the tag match last night and has seemed to be sluggish, even when being pushed.

He's not the next Val Venis because Val puts effort into everyone of his matches.

All Carlito seems to have is the world's slowest springboard move and a couple catchphrases.

Agreed, but everyone talked about how much promise he had when he first came in. There would probably be more "push Carlito!" posts in this thread had it been made a year ago.

Just after the 2006 Wrestlemania, Carlito started a short feud with roid monkey Chris Masters. The matches were nothing special, but in a few of the interviews, I honestly found Carlito hilarious, and was sure he was destined for bigger and better things.......

SInce then he has done very little.
Crummy feuds, weeks upon weeks of being unseen, literally not getting any mic time for months on end. (When Flair called him ungrateful and bad mouthed him for not showing any heart, he never cut a promo when he really really should have.) Triple H completely destroying him a month back on RAW (That post match beat down in the cage that just went on and on...) just one more nail in a coffin that is already pretty nail heavy.
I honestly don't know if he's being punished for something, or they just have no faith in him or what, but clearly Carlito is NOT in anyone's (well anyone who matters that is) good books, and it kinda shows when he's in the ring.
I still think the guy has potential, but obviously we'll never see it if things go on like this.

Adding a springboard elbow to shake things up worked for a couple of weeks. Then he came back to his usual routine of "dat's not cool" and spitting apples.

WWE even gave him a talk show and it didn't help much, so they're using him like today's Rick Martel. Except the Model was 10x better

Wow, people really jump the gun on stuff like this. He just got out of a feud with Triple H, not too long ago, and is no w feuding with an up and comer. That's not exactly burial. To be buried is to be off of TV entirely.

That's been the remark from people for a while, but I watch his matches. He's not really doing anything more half assed than others that I've noticed. Unless he's blowing off house show matches, I don't know where that comes from.

When HHH got annihilated in that one match with Warrior everyone credits it to be buried for the MSG incident. How can Carlito get jobbed frequently and it not be getting buried?

If you notice his mic times been cut, and his matches are usually rather short. As far as the not trying remark, it's just how he carries himself. He just seems to act like a guy who knows he's counting the lights again.

I'm not saying he can't pull OUT of it, like HHH did, but right now I don't think WWE is very high on him. Which is why he wouldn't be a Val Venis. Even tho he's not a world champ, WWE LIKES Venis.

I don't know about Carlito. It seems to me that he should be more entertaining than he actually is. He's fine in the ring, he can be amusing on the mike, and yet he's no more than an okay mid-carder to me. I forget he's on RAW much of the time. He actually needs to moved to another brand like ECW.

I think he needs a change of venue. After this D.H. feud is over, he just needs to be on Smackdown or ECW. ECW is pretty damn heel heavy, so probably Smackdown.

A move to Smackdown helped Christian IMMENSELY years back, so who knows?

'I second that. He's pissed off with with the WWE as far as his direction goes and isn't afraid to let it be known. If he'd kept his big trap shut about not being on WM23 IMO he would be an upper mid-carder right now.
