It is thought that Carlito has asked for his release and will be finishing up with WWE in the next few weeks.
wrestling observer newsletter
Has anyone ever seen Sunny's shoot? She mentions she worked with Carlito last year and he told her he wasn't bothered about wrestling and only did it because "his dad made him do it" Which explains a lot.

Well, more power to Carlito. As long as he's happy with his decision, good luck to him.

I expect to see Snitsky maul him as a goodbye present.
He lost his love and needs to quit. Good luck in whatever you do Carlito...even though it will most likely be wrestling.
Oh, and avoid ROH. Apparently, they don't like it when someone says they don't love the business and then botches their way through a show...

A year and a half ago I would have really said I'd miss him. I just don't care now. Adios.

I wonder what he'll tell his dad? Sorry...ramdom thought from my mind. I'm way too curious.

Well I like what i have seen of him, (not seen much wwe tv in the last 3 years or so) and well, I respect him for quitting because he doesnt like it.
Just wish i was in a situation i could quit my job, cause i hate it more than I could ever put into words.

Won't miss him in the least. Agreed. Maybe if this was happening when he was on smackdown or when he first moved to raw but not now. I don't know what it is but Carlito has not entertained me for a long time, I just hope he doesn't some how end up in TNA because I actually like that show.

I like Carlito and always thought he had a unique charisma, but if he doesn't like wrestling then he should leave. Personally I'd love to see him get an office job, since it would look funny as hell.
Lumberg: Ummmm hey Carlito, what's happening. You forgot to put the cover on your TPS reports.

I imagine that Carlito would fit in TNA better than WWE, mostly due to the work schedule. That said, I hope they don't hire him, they have enough wasted talent.

Meh, won't really miss him and I'm sure with HBK/HHH and a returning Jericho to Raw, I doubt most fans would either.

Carlito would be somebody that I wouldn't mind TNA hiring (if they didn't have all the WWE cast-offs they have now). He's young, and can have some good matches when booked correctly.

well if he isn't enjoying himself then he might as well quit. he hasn't really done anything decent in a while. he was entertaining to start with, but he seemed to just fade into something completely distant from what he was to start with.

This really doesn't surprise me. Carlito is an interesting case to me because it always seemed like he had the potential to be both a good character and a good worker, and sometimes he was. Other times it seemed like he just didn't care and was half-assing it.
