Thought you guys might like to see this, If true I didnt realise how serious the problem was. Thank God he was treated in time
- Matt Hardy's Appendix burst actually had him on his death bed. If he didn't get to the hospital in time he could have died due to the toxins poisoning his body. As reported he is expected to be out for 3 months then return to continue his feud with MVP until Wrestlemania.
- There is brief talk about putting MVP in a short feud with Jeff Hardy.

Yeah, it's very serious. One of my friends had the same thing happen to him back in 2003, and he was lucky that we got him to the hospital on time. It was a dire situation though, as we were out and had to catch a bus there.
Get well soon, Matt.

Why do we have an appendix? What is the point of having an organ who's only function is to burst and suddenly kill me?

This really put things into perspective. Thank goodness that Matt is alive and is recovering. He's one of my favorite wrestler's of all time. If he was to become a statistic on one of those "lists", I don't know how I would gotten over it.

Same thing happened to my grandfather.
He actually got gangrene in his system but came out with a scar and his appendix gone.
Get well soon, Matt!

I remember my appendix ruptured when i was about 14 or so (I'm 25 now). I waited a week before i got it checked out, thinking it was a bad stomach ache. The doctor told me if i had waited another day i probably would have died. I ended up being in the hospital for over a week just to drain the poison out of me, they couldnt actually take it out for another few weeks
so i can definitely relate to the seriousness of it. heres to a speedy recovery for Matt.

Why do we have an appendix? What is the point of having an organ who's only function is to burst and suddenly kill me? Probably used to do something back in the day, but either evolution or modern medicine kind of made it obsolete somehow. But yeah if it's so dangerous, why don't people just take it out earlier in life? like when you go to the doctor/dentist and for some reason tells you to take the tonsils or wisdom teeth out "just in case".

Thank God, he survived this.
And just imagine if he really would have died... ...during a feud with MVP for the US title... Considering what happened earlier this year this would have been really, really creepy, especially for MVP...and the next guy he would have feuded with...

Taking out an appendix is a far more complicated, costly, and dangerous procedure, you can't just open your mouth and have the doctor reach it like tonsils.

That's always such a big fear of mine. I had a teacher in high school who's friend actually did die of this when he was 50. Very sad.

Luckily a bad appendix is not hard to spot. It's always a severe pain in the lower right abdomen.
