Here's hoping he's rewarded by taking the US title from MVP at Wrestlemania. It'd be apt.

Man what a weird year SmackDown has had. If it could go wrong it did. I swear Teddy Long must have insulted an old gypsy woman or something. Here's hoping for a better 08.
I'm really glad Matt's going to be OK. He's really grown on me over the years. Definitely an M-Fer here.

I mentioned in the orginal thread how serious Matt's condition was as most people will get the appendix removed before it bursts but, after it bursts you are in a live and death situation. Doctors recently discovered that the appendix stores bacteria used to fight off viruses and in the digestion of food but, is no longer needed because of modern technology.

I read the appendix is an organ that was much more useful in the past, before all of this technology, medications, etc I mean going back thousands of years. The passage says they think it's a form of a 'reset button', in that it is a storehouse for 'good' bacteria, that is used only when a person *recovers* from a bad illness that killed or damaged most of the persons 'good bacteria'. I also might have read that it stores the genetic patterns of the good bacteria, so if all of the good bacteria is wiped out, but the person survives a long sickness, the appendix 'reboots' the persons system in some way.
Sounds crazy, but that is what I read when the news broke!
