OK. If Y2J is bombing, then who else is succeeding?

OK. If Y2J is bombing, then who is succeeding? I really couldn't begin to say... no-one, really, right now. But they clearly aimed for Y2J to come back and cause a massive impact, and yet two weeks into it... just another guy.

OK I agree with that. For the ridiculous bar that they attempted to set for him, he did not succeed. The crowds had already shown us how much they are willing to give. The fact that they are giving Y2J a reaction that's on par with their best (HBK, Hardy's, etc.), tells me that he's not a bomb. Did he light the world on fire in 2 weeks? No. But he ain't Max Moon either.

I think it the booking. No way should they had him wrestle his first match against Santino. Lets face it, WWE has booked Jericho the same way as TNA as booked there major signing. Which is in away that there just another guy on the roster and nothing special to makes the fans tune in more then they did.
Which it's sad because the WWE used to know how to make it were it's a big deal. But Jericho as been booked as just another guy. Even though his promos have been very good like always. He hasn't losted anything in the ring compared to when he left.

my guess is ure joking with the Cena stuff but i agree that the crowds seem to be much quieter than usual... although it may be because of the times were in Yeah because John Cena can't possibly be a good draw for the company. The Intertubes have decided it. You have a heel who was handed the title with little heat behind it (a la Montreal). The top face is gone, and three weeks later, the savior is just another character on the show.

*shrug* the fans HAVE seemed kinda meh lately, the past few shows have honestly been filled with freakin' mutes, the only decent pop I saw was for Flair or Jeff, and HBK got an ok one when he came out and kicked the BDC/Razor/Jannety impersonaters. Hopefuly they'll get out of the carolinas soon, see if it was just the area.

Why can't we just blame the crappy wwe shows instead of crappy crowds? We've been getting a dead crowd thread every week.

I think it's both the crappy shows and the overall apathetic crowds. WWE doesn't feel like putting on quality shows so the fans don't care to react. It's one bad cycle.

I wonder, the fans probably wouldn't even pop for Sting nowadays...

I wonder, the fans probably wouldn't even pop for Sting nowadays... Exactly. Coming from a company that would rather have its fans have a short term memory, the newer/younger set of fans wouldn't know Sting at all, if the fake!kliq segment on Raw meant anything.

The sad reality is that Chris Jericho was buried for so many years that he almost became pitiful by the end of his run. His world title run was about 6 years ago and truth be told I don't think Jericho has ever had that ultra die hard fanbase that wants to see him win the title.
Maybe it's because fans don't buy into Jericho simply coming back and getting a title shot without doing anything to deserve it? It's funny because he got shots at Cena in 2005 despite doing zilch to warrant a shot. And truth be told, Jericho's return was a bit of an anticlimactic moment, since nearly everyone knew he was Saveus222, yet they kept dragging it on.

Yeah, but that was over 7 years ago. A lot has happened since then.

I thought you were going to show me the video where Jericho is walking Steph's dog while holding the Undisputed titles.
