And I have a right to say that you are a complete idiot for thinking so. Bret Hart wrestled for 24 years. He had a serious concussion and kept working on it for the fans. It caused him to have a damn stroke. Because of that he sucks for not being a part of WWE as a 50 year old in not so good health? You are an asshole and I couldnt care less if I am banned for that. right on then. welcome to the board, bret. yeah, if the dude can do a stage performance of Aladdin, then he can show up at one wrestling show for his fans and cut a promo or something... i guarentee it wouldn't kill him. A stage performance of Aladdin doesn't rely on being hit with something at one point or another... What do you want from Bret exactly? A promo in the middle of the ring? About what? MONTREAL OF COURSE!? He had his "thank you and goodbye!" speech at the Hall of Fame, what else is there for a man who CAN'T TAKE A F'N PUNCH? Jesus, Steve Austin is 10x in better shape than Bret, and all he can do is coming out there, blabbing for a while before delivering a stunner. And that's grown old after a couple of times if not supported by an actual angle or storyline involving a match. Bret can't even do what Austin does. So? What's the point of having him back?

There's a difference between doing a performance in front of 500 people in a theatre and doing a performance in front of 10,000 people with another 10 million watching at home. From what I gather, it's the enormity of the audience that would overwhelm post-stroke Bret.

Well now with Bret's book not going to be a WWE publication here in the states, their relationship is even worse now.
Imagine this: If Bret's book was published by WWE, 400 of the 533 pages would have to be changed in some way. That broke the ice!

It wasn't like it was Bret's fault the book isn't being published by the WWE. They fought for it and lost it to Random House.

What's the point of having him back? believe it or not, i'm a fan of bret's... so i actually WOULD like to see him back... it seems like you all ACTUALLY THINK that comming back and cutting a promo could actually kill bret hart... thats insane... it's something he did for 20 years or so... i THINK he's pretty much used to being in front of all those people... and no, it wouldn't involve him getting hit with something... and no i wouldn't like to hear him cut a promo on the screwjob... it's been overdone as it is... but he could sure as hell cut a promo on how these young kids comming up now days are nothing compared to him... example... he cuts a promo on... lets say... Santino Marella, about how Santino is a perfect example of cocky young wrestlers who couldn't wrestle their way out of a paper bag.... in comes Santino... he cuts a promo on bret, telling bret that he's old and washed up... just when you think it could come to blows... BAM in comes jim neidhart... neidhart hammers santino and bret throws maybe a kick in there (as long as he dosen't think kicking someone could kill him) now we've got a hart foundation reunion, santino shows that he can hold his own in the ring with bret on the stick, and the fans pop like a motherf***er.... actually turning the night into something special. now do you really think that would kill him? you know what his fans remember him for? they don't remember him for what he was in the WWE... they remember him for the way he was s***tily used in the WCW... so he could make one last appearance... be triumphant... get over a new kid... pop the crowd... and prove that his fans are important to him. all in one shot.

bret is the personification of someone who did it for himself and the money. a TRUE entertainer does it for the fans as well. he's got every right to say no to it... and i have every right to say i think he sucks for saying no to it. With this reasoning, Chris Benoit was better off getting every last good match out of him, rather than retire early and get help.

One night would NOT kill Bret Hart. One night, for his fans, for his legacy, and for the company that (dispite his bashing of them when he was in WCW) had the repect to induct him into the Hall Of Fame. Noone would ask Bret to take a bump, and no one would ask him to do anything more than stand there and talk. THAT WOULD NOT KILL HIM. He has every right to say no to comming. But I also have the right to say that it looks to me like he's really letting down his fans, himself, and the business by saying no...

He already made an appearance at the HOF ceremony last year and did a promo for the Raw earlier this year in June. Would I like to see him come back, yes, but given his health and choice, he doesn't have to, so I respect his decision. It wouldn't kill him, but he has no obligation to do so either. I think a lot of people are letting their fandom get in the way of forgetting that these wrestlers are people too and just because Vince calls on them, doesn't mean they have to go running.

Perhaps, but he did so already at the HOF and the promo on Raw in June for the McMahon Appreciation night. How many more times should he show his face? I think he did more than enough.

How was Bret a sissy anyway? Whining, sure, I get that. But sissy? He smacked the beejezus out of McMahon as he left, busted his face all up.

Well, it's easy to call someone a sissy over the internet. This is what Al Gore wanted us to do with his invention. Or was it warn people about global warming? I forget.

Just because Bret doesn't show up at the 3 hour Raw, that doesn't mean he's bitter and holds a grudge. Maybe he just plain doesn't care anymore.
Example: Your buds ask you to come out for a movie on Friday night. You ask "What movie?" They say "Golden Compass." You go "No thanks, it looks like shit." All the sudden, your friends think you're an asshole that doesn't want to hang out with them anymore. Yes kiddies, jumping to conclusions definitely sucks for everyone involved. Maybe sometimes people just don't feel like it.

Example: Your buds ask you to come out for a movie on Friday night. You ask "What movie?" They say "Golden Compass." You go "No thanks, it looks like crap." All the sudden, your friends think you're an asshole that doesn't want to hang out with them anymore. Yes kiddies, jumping to conclusions definitely sucks for everyone involved. Maybe sometimes people just don't feel like it. Add that said friends weren't exactly kind to you in the past, you had different opinions about a lot of serious issues, and they also caused (accidentally, but still caused) the death of your brother... Then they "kinda" patched things up, while keeping on bringing up your old arguments and talking behind your back. But, oh you're such a whiny sissy for not wanting to go out with them for one night only
