They realled screwed up Flairs Fortune stable tonight. They introduce 2 members and within a minute those 2 members and Flair are running away from Abyss like scared little girls? That was really the only sore spot in the show for me. I personally like the ecw angle. It's a new angle that doesn't involve Hogan/Bischoff. Yes, because the Horsemen never ran away from fights back in the day. And Ric Flair never took DQ losses to retain the title.. Heels play cowardly. And you know what... being scared of a guy with a big old nail bat... yeah.. not that bad.

No wonder they're doing the ECW reunion. They saw the numbers WWE did for One Night Stand... even if they come away with a 5th of what ONS does... it's a huge success for TNA.

The return of the Sinister Minister with a new Church is my guess. If Heyman is coming, I'm pretty sure TNA will end up having a decent amount of managers again for guys that need them.

I believe mentioning another person's trademark is fine especially when using in a historical sense. If they talk about what happened in ECW or to ECW, I don't think there's any treading on the trademark. Now, start calling something the "ECW Stable" on air or use ECW to promote anything... then yeah.. then you get a little more dicye on that.

Everyone here is bitching and moaning right now. The reports are the brawl came off awesome... who cares if it's older guys or raping ECW's corpse ...
Enjoy it if it works. Then bitch if it doesn't.

RVD's been past it for years. I don't think I've enjoyed a single match of his in about four years, Well that doesn't say much he was away from wrestling for two of the last four years. Also yeah he is near 40 years old. Which I agree most high flyers loss a step at that age. Also keep in mind he had reconstractive knee surgery in his history that kept him out a year there too. This exactly.

What if the surprise is they're moving their tapings to Hammerstein like Raw used to do?

These type of angles start to heat up after about half way through.

Well enlighten me then. What else has Velvet had done to herself besides her obvious breast enhancement? Since you seem to think everything about her body is so fake. Also if your going to say that Velvet is fake just because she had breast enhancement surgery then there are a lot of women in pro wrestling who are fake then. Hah seriously.. but they will completely ignore the plastic surgery debate if you talk about for someone such as IWC darling Serena. The girl was not exactly anywhere near hot in high school. IIRC, good body, but butter face like crazy and no boobs. Now, she's pretty okay in my book.

They're in a pretty bad financial situation for sure. And how do we know this? This has already been refuted. And unlike WWE, they are a private company. We can't see their books. I'm sorry, but this whole Heyman story comes off as newz. At least in actual journalism you have to quote sources and use things called facts. In wrestling journalism you don't even have to do that. Just throw stuff up on a wall and everyone will believe it. Well, they just took in 2-4 million in new contracts, and have not really dramatically increased their revenue stream. Considering being profitable posts from them come up every year or so... they're operatingon the line. That's what's killed them.

Heyman. 100% control over the company with strict CFO supervision. The man made Al Snow into a main eventer.
He won't recreate ECW. But, he'll probably put on something close or better than his Smackdown run. Look at the talent he'd have to work with. Plus, he would probably come up with one angle, one quest for a title that would actually make you turn into TNA.
That being said... I wouldn't mind hearing Angle's WWE music again.

I loved the promo, but it just falls flat to me. I mean you got a bunch of second rate green punks - especially Shamus that shouldn't even be winning matches, let alone Main Eventing. Yeah, I know - old school don't work no more . . . and I can just quit watching . . . and when football season comes around - I might - but I'm sorry fellas wrestling just sucks for me right now unless its on 24/7. Concurred, but after watching that promo... The "sign of things to come" vibe really hit me. I feel like there was an Arn promo like this for the nWo during the Outsiders angle, pre-Hogan forming the nWo. Arn sets a great mood always and this is why I'm always amazed that guys like Arn are not made into managers or on screen personalities... they convey genuine emotion that makes people care. . If only I could give a damn about the WWE side in this... I enjoyed watching the nWo takeover as a 11 year old kid who still wanted to believe... hated the nWo... and cheered wildly for Lex Luger's title win to bring the title back to WCW for a week. Rooting for heels just bores me... because with pro-wrestling, the face in a major angle should always get the victory to end the angle. Send the audience home happy after jerking them around a few times thinking they won't get a happy ending. That promo would have really excited me about pro-wrestling again. Unfortunately, the older I get, the less I enjoy pro-wrestling because the less I can identify with the faces and not identifying or rooting for faces just seems to have destroyed most of what was once magical to me.

It's Christopher Daniels, and his new version of the Prophecy that I've been dying for. Well, one can hope. This would also play into that rumor that another booker has submitted a proposal and wants Daniel to be top heel leading a stable with Abyss as his monster. Too awesome to be true. I assume that booker would be Kevin Sullivan?

It wasn't a poor decision. It was a booking decision made because the WWE wanted to show the ECW faithful that WWECW wasn't going to be what they remembered. So rather than give them a show reminiscent of the old ECW, they gave them the pinnacle of sports entertainment at the time. If that was the pinnacle of Sports Entertainment, then Sports Entertainment should be put out of its misery forever. Terrible match. Worse booking. It's like trying to have a steak roast with a bunch of Vegetarians and then wondering why everyone is upset. They could've done Taker/Show, Flair/Show, Kane/Show... and they all would've gone over fine. I don't think Vince is dumb enough to sabotage something he's invested time and money in like he did nu-ECW... so why would he willingly tank it to prove a point? I think it really was Vince not having a clue that it would get shit over like it did. I think his mindset was "If old ECW crowds loved Al Snow, they should love Batista cause he's a bigger star I made". Why prove a point to embarass your company, new brand, network, wrestlers and sponsors even all in 10 minutes.

I still think it was hilarious that Sandman was one of the last two or three people in the ring for Vince's son or whatever it was.

Eh, the Hammerstein is in midtown Manhattan not too far from the Garden yet you don't hear 'SHE'S GOT HERPES' chants when WWE runs MSG. It's a different audience for a different product and I think TNA should have no problems getting an Impact Zone-like crowd. Aye it's legitimately down the block from MSG. And I don't think TNA would draw in the ECW fans. Unless they hardcore advertise RVD, and Dreamer and such as being there... and if they do... I really don't expect good things Eh.. advertise Joe, Wolf, Pope, Angle, RVD, X-Division in general. They'll show up. Let's not forget "ECW fans" basically became "ROH fans" and they'll go see these guys if you put a decent card together. They will pop hard for Raven,Dreamer,Stevie, etc, but they'll come because they want to see wrestling.

#6... he's absolutely correct on. And anytime Chris is used on a DVD or shown on TV from prior footage... that also should be a paid royalty to the estate of Benoit. If WWE's argument is they aren't giving money to the murderer and feel it should go to Nancy's estate, that's irrelevant for WWE to decide. The money should be paid to the estate of who it is owed to, and the courts to sort out after that.
