The Republic of Thieves by Scott Lynch
It was… alright. It’s the 3rd book in a series following a genuinely terrific book 1, and equally middling book 2. Lynch is also following the GRRM writing model of not releasing anything new for a decade which is swell, but whatever. There’s still decent stuff, but it’s also in the middle of painfully slow pacing, and some dull padding in the middle that just seems to exist to fill page counts. Plus a particular relationship centered around this book that feels both overwrought and underwritten at points . It’s weird, and kind of developing into a bit of a love/hate relationship between me and the series.
If book 4 ever appears we’ll see whether that sliding scale persists.

I wanted Lee Moriarty to have a run in Dragon Gate before he joined AEW, and since then he's just been lost in the shuffle. My preference is that he leaves AEW and tries to get a slot in a Japanese fed for a couple of years cause I just don't see him making any headway with so much competition in the company at the moment.

This whole thing is giving me 2010 TNA vibes Drew = Sting Jey & the Bloodline = Immortal Seth Rollins = potentially Jeff Hardy Cody = er Mr Anderson maybe. Same hair. Solo = Abyss Heyman = Bischoff Rock = Hogan So would Judgment Day be Fortune in your scenario?

Wasting that year with SANADA only for everyone to leave sure was a mistake. If only someone would have said that last year when Tsuji challenged for the title. I find it funny that there was this long plan to build the guy to run the gambit on his prior stablemates all leading to facing his former leader, which would be a fine story... except that by the time they got there, no one cared about him. Besides that recent Jay White reign where he was in absentia most of the time, I don't remember another title reign from the company being as flat, at least during the Okada era.

None of them.
I legitimately don't think any game exists that's transcends so high as to appeal to everyone.
Like, a lot of the games already listed that I haven't played straight up don't appeal to me, and I'm at the age now where time is such a commodity I'm not willing to invest that much into something that on the surface looks so middling to me.
Except Russian Roulette, I'd probably kill at that.

My prediction is that it's Rollins that's turning heel and joining Reigns so we get a sort of Shield/Bloodline super group to do exactly the same thing for the next 12 months. I think it's like the one sole thing that hasn't been completely squeezed dry out of this deal.

My advice is to not be loyal to any product, cause they sure as hell aren’t loyal to you.
Also your fandom should never be an aspect of your personality. If you’re getting hurt over things like a product changing, or someone criticizing it, that’s the point you need to step back and seriously ask yourself if this is healthy. It should be an escape, not an emotional crutch.

Another of my current weirdo faves is Unmatched. It's the ultimate board game version of kids on a playground imagining who would win in a fight between their favourite heroes, except it's taken to the most extreme absurdities. Like, have you ever wondered who would win if Nikola Tesla fought Bigfoot and his friend the Jackalope? Or who would win in a clash of fisticuffs between Bruce Lee and a T-Rex? Or how about if Buffy the Vampire Slayer, teamed up with The Invisible Man, and Sinbad the Sailor to stop Mothman from blowing up bridges? You can do that too. It's dumb, and it's amazing, and I love it. not a board game but I have a card game that's similar called Superfight. Each person draws a person/object/whatever card, and a super power, the person to your left places a weakness on your character and the judge chooses who would win in a fight. (there are also expansions for adding locations or events as well) One of my favorite power cards is "you are figuratively on fire ...also literally" One of the other players in my DnD game has mentioned owning Superfight, so I may get a chance to play it sometime.

Whatever happens, it'll be interesting to see what sort of returns she delivers on, because I feel like we never got a good feel of her potential outside the fed with her injury last year.

He USED to be a piece of shit, he's not anymore I'm worried that Hangman Adam Page thinks Swerve Strickland can't change Don't worry, next time we see Hangman he'll have arrived at a scene where Swerve's car was run off the road, wearing a hotdog suit, trying to find the guy who did this.

Anything involving Owen Hart and Over The Edge 99. WWE spend the last 2 decade gaslighting their audience into thinking that Martha Hart was in the wrong for her not wanting to work with the company or have anything to do with them. Also the fact they sued Martha for breach of contract on Owen's behalf is up there with the most scummy things they've ever done.

I had a games night over the weekend and we ended by playing a few games of Azul. Now there's nothing super weird about the game itself... by my god, you try and sell a game themed around Portuguese bathroom tiling without everyone's eyes simultaneously glazing over in record setting time.

I remember his catchphrase: “You are SOL and you know what THAT means!” So edgy! That was up there with Hogan's FUNB vest that left this young fan pretty confused at the time.

The main problem with Monopoly is that it's not fun.
The only reason I'd ever suggest playing it on a games night was if I was trying to get people to leave... So I guess in a way it could be useful to own a copy.
Honestly Monopoly Deal is the only version worth playing.

I regret to inform you that Zack Snyder is back on his bullshit: Is Zack like pilled up or something? What is he talking about with that god stuff, I genuinely don't know where that's coming from? His rationale would be similar to arguing that Spider-Man should fly, because he needs to, or whatever. Having limitations and constraints placed in writing and creativity is what leads to unique stories and characters feeling special. There's nothing wrong with telling a story of a Batman who kills, but they A) tend to be secondary elseworld stories that exist in contrast to the nature of the character as known in the mainstream consciousness, and B) have a message or point behind beyond: "something, something, god;" or as I actually believe his thinking actually is: "but I wanna!"

Unmatched is one of my current favorites. It basically plays like games kids would imagine in school about what if x fought y, who would win. Except over half the historical/mythical figures aren’t even fighters n the traditional sense… or any sense really.
For example some of the characters you can put against each other in bloody combat are Nikola Tesla, Little Red Riding Hood, Bigfoot, Bloody Mary, Sherlock Holmes, Harry Houdini, the Genie of the Lamp, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, a pack of Velociraptors, William Shakespeare, Bruce Lee, and a whole lot of others.
But wait, there’s more. Don’t want to play a tabletop version of epic battle simulator? Then how about teaming up your characters to stop Mothman from blowing up bridges, or fend off a Martian invasion, cause you can do that too.

My thought is that brains aren't so great.
I mean, if they were then why do we hide them under our skulls and stuff?
