This is what that 9 hour Ciampa/Gargano NXT match could have been if it didn't suck

Huh. Wonder what Claudio said to Swerve? And was he pointing at the crowd, or Nana?? He has a history with Nana in ROH

Great American Bash where they threw Bischoff off the stage. If you are right, then who will be the one to betray AEW? what is Horace Hogan up to these days

I don't think anyone wanted Cody to go away, just to accept that he was a heel. But he was still having really good matches a lot of the time, and doing goofy ass stuff. So it's really clearly Jericho here.

Worked fine, made sense. It does feel a little like...they knew they needed a dramatic moment and put together Dramatic Moment Ingredients? I have a hard time articulating what I'm feeling here any better than that. I think a lot of it is that the Elite's targets so far have largely not been particularly sympathetic guys. Tony Khan has always been mr nice man on screen but he's still a billionaire son, so he's not really somebody that's going to make the fans boo you to death for getting beaten up. I love PAC but he's by his own purposeful way not sympathetic. I'm one of the few here that like FTR, but again they aren't sympathetic. Like I think it'll work better with Kenny next week because he's a sympathetic guy that everyone loves, similar to the Bucks attack on Sting/Sting sons/Darby. Also sort of with Eddie, but that didn't really last very long.

I could see it! just means they’re gonna have swerve win it back quickly and it’s not like Ospreay is guaranteed that hypothetical title match in England if he’s rocking the international title, which I think he will Tony has never hotshotted his main title (whether it be the AEW title or ROH title) because he values it too highly to do that, though. It's either already made guys (Jericho, Mox, Kenny, Punk, Joe) or guys they took a ton of time to develop at a main event level (Hangman, MJF, Swerve). I just don't see him doing this for Jack Perry or anybody really.

My gut says Perry takes the world title soonish in a big controversial shock and Swerve probably chases back to beat him so Swerve's still the main babyface right now. Then the E&C stan in me says Christian and Copeland reunite to take on the Bucks. IDK where guys like Kenny or Hangman fit into this but they can add intrigue whether they're allied with or against the new Elite. If they play their cards right, they could do a nice build to a triumphant All In where the baddies get vanquished, but I could also see them taking their time and having this be a longer term angle, like the next couple months they build Perry to the main event level before he gets the belt. There's no way in hell they can hotshot the title onto Perry that fast.

For your picks...I don't think there's any way Kenny is near ready yet, so I'm pretty sure next week is a hometown angle to draw more heat onto them. I also think putting Hangman against them would be an absolutely massive mistake as he needs to be kept away from them for a while given they make him way less interesting than he is by himself and they need to finish the Swerve stuff.
So right now...Copeland, FTR, Garcia. Maybe throw Christian in there soon.

What do you mean decided as if it's not earned? His crowd reactions are the most dampened they've been since like 2005. His matches and promos are probably the worst they have ever been. His feuds go on an eternity. He gets time EVERY week and has appeared on Dynamite more often than any single wrestler this year despite being maybe the 28th most over person on any given night. I'm not saying Jericho isn't in a slump, but I'm also reserved in at least seeing where this new direction goes Yeah it might be another stable, but that doesn't mean it won't work. I'm hoping it does, because Jericho is always as you said guaranteed TV time, I'd like other wrestlers to get it with him and be successful. This is the main issue, though. With younger talent you want to give a chance, you can have some patience because there might be some interesting stuff at the end when they grow. But when you are 53 years old and slumping this badly, you just need to be taken off of TV for a while. There's no way out of this for a middle aged man who is so stale and refuses to just leave so the crowd can have a breather from him.

Yeah I know, people have decided they hate him now and there's really no going back on it But that doesn't reflect the ratings or overall consensus on Jericho either. So I guess the answer to the question is form YET ANOTHER pointless ass stable that will suck ass and slowly dissolve over a month randomly. This honestly just seems to be the exact same f***ing thing as the Jericho Appreciation Society. Like, it's the exact same idea, he's just using different catchphrases. Just to piggyback since I mentioned in the thread...that was coming off the back of a super hot angle and they were able to bounce off of the guy who is probably the best mic worker in the world in Eddie Kingston. Jericho was hot, the feud was hot, the crowds were rolling for them and it got 2.0/Garcia going quickly based off of that. Jericho was also in maybe the best shape he had been in years and everything. Now this, this is a complete retread except nobody is over anymore. Jericho isn't over enough. They don't have an oppositional force of Eddie (who brought in Santana/Ortiz and Moxley/Danielson all of whom were doing great mic work/ring work at the time), and it's trying to force something that isn't there. Plus 2024 Jericho beating Shibata is just insulting, and there is nobody to siphon this heat off of anymore (what, is Hook going to start delivering promos about how he's going to murder Jericho and is being driven back to the hole he was in his whole career?).

Eh it was about a 4 for me. Main event angle was fine but not really sure I love it. Didn't really like the Gauntlet at all (it felt like a meandering GCW scramble match that I'm completely fed up on) and Fletcher/Swerve did nothing for me as a certified do not care about him at all person on Fletcher. Jericho promo stuff stunk again. Was disappointed in the Hobbs injury as I was really looking forward to him/Mox and clearly it had to get cut short. Sound issues were really terrible tonight, as mentioned.
Mina/Anna Jay was probably the match of the night though so that was fun. Willow had another home run promo and it dragged Mercedes up in the process, so liked that segment plenty. Still wish Hayter was back already but this is about the best you can do until then.

A literal Dynamite ad cutting off part of this match? This might be the worst produced DYnamite of all time

Perry/Tony Khan is seriously the main event instead of this? TK Perry actually has an overchieving story and hook.as long they dont make it overtime exclusive Yes but Moxley is a considerably bigger star and this match is a bigger deal. Perry/Khan both are bad talkers, it doesn't need to lead a damn show.

Do we need yet another Chris Jericho faction? That peaked with the Inner Circle. The early days of JAS were fire because they were built on the back of the incredible beginnings of Jericho/Eddie. But that had fire BECAUSE of that, something this sure as shit doesn't have.
