I don't wanna start a journal or anything, but here is my RoH game. Started in August 2007, I am now a year plus at December 2008. I am currently at a 21% PI level and the third global company behind WWE (44%) and TNA (100%!). I have three TV shows including RoH Throwdown on Tuesdays, Respect is Earned on Wednesdays, and Generation Now on Fox. I run monthly shows, for the most part using the default names.
Roster Main Event- Colt Cabana, Lance Storm, Bryan Danielson, Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin, Ace Steel, Adam Pearce, Roderick Strong Jimmy Jacobs, D'Lo Brown, Chris Hero, and The Messiah.
Upper midcard- Austin Aries, BJ Whitmer, Delirious, Jack Evans, Josh Prohibition, Justin Credible, Matt Cross, Matt Sydal, Nigel McGuinness, PAC, Brent Albright, Davey Richards, Jimmy Rave, Simon Diamond
Midcard- Allison Danger, Ayako Hamada, KENTA, Kevin Steen, Mickie James, Quicksilver, Scorpio Sky, TJ Wilson, Takeshi Morishima, Billy Kidman, Cheerleader Melissa, Claudio Castagnoli, Disco Machine, Johnny Devine, Johnny Stamboli, Lufisto, Milano Collection AT, Ricky Reyes, Rocky Romero, Victoria, Vampiro
Lower Midcard- Dave Crist, El Generico, Harry Smith, Jake Crist, Katie Lea, Naruki Doi, Shingo Takagi, the Human Tornado, Chris Bosh, Jillian Hall, Sal Rinuaro, and Scott Lost
Openers- Jason Blade, Kikutaro, Mad Man Pondo
Stars joining RoH Brother Runt Raven Jamie Noble The Sandman Paul Heyman Tag Teams Aerial Express (Quicksilver, Scorpio Sky) Arrogance (Chris Bosh, Scott Lost) Dance Machines (Milano Collection AT, Disco Machine) El Steenerico (Kevin Steen, El Generico) Havana Pitbulls (Ricky Reyes, Rocky Romero) Impact Players (Lance Storm, Justin Credible) International Incident (PAC, KENTA) Irish Airborne (Jake and Dave Crist) Murder City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin) Takagi and Doi (Naruki Doi, Shingo Takagi) The Embassy (Jimmy Rave, Davey Richards) Kings of Wrestling (Chris Hero, Claudio Castagnoli)
Stables International Incident- KENTA, PAC, Nigel McGuinness, Francoise (manager) The Embassy- Prince Nana, Jimmy Rave, Davey Richards
Current Champions RoH World Title- Roderick Strong RoH Womens Title- Cheerleader Melissa RoH World Tag Team- The Stampede Bulldogs
Injured D'lo Brown, broken leg down for 4 months Matt Cross, knee injury down for 2 months Chris Bosh, ripped bicep down for 4 months Jake Crist, tricep strain down for 1 month
Rehab Jimmy Rave Matt Sydal
Notable feuds Roderick Strong vs Colt Cabana After having to strip Takeshi Morishima of the title due being in NOAH for two or three months, Colt Cabana won the RoH world title. Unfortunately his reign would only be a month long when a recently turned heel Roderick Strong took it from him. Despite several attempts at winning the title back, Cabana couldn't outwit Strong. At Final Battle, Colt gets his final chance at the world title.
Simon Diamond vs KENTA His first month in RoH, Simon Diamond has defeated anybody he was gone up against. Simon had a problem, he couldn't find good competition in RoH. After taking on members of the International Incident (Nigel McGuinness, PAC) he found his match in Japanese star KENTA. They have gone up against one another twice so far and have one win apiece. They will have one last match against each other at the final Pay Per View of the year, Final Battle.
BJ Whitmer vs Vampiro Debuting a month ago, Vampiro (along with Mad Man Pondo) have been wrecking havoc all across Ring of Honor. Only participating in hardcore bouts, they have been trying to destroy everything that Ring of Honor stood for. Whitmer, proud of the company, has vowed to put a stop to this. With Vampiro promising that things will get EXTREME (hint hint) can Whitmer overcome the odds ala Cena or become more bloods on the hands of Vampiro and Mad Man Pondo?

They had the biggest audience I could aspire to get at the time with my then-production values and risk rating. I've now outgrown them, so I'm slowly gonna start shifting my programming to other networks. Fox, hopefully. Jed Shaffer ~And I plan on taking on TNA if I get a new show, so I can bring them to their knees and free the prisoners! If this was reality, chances are you're likely to move over to a different channel in the NBC/Universal family. Why NBC would want to wrestling companies in there is beyond me, and how Vince would allow it is beyond me. Fox MIGHT want wrestling, unless it's trying to be a serious network, in which case, forget about it. Gun for Versus or, dare I say, ESPN 2. You know what would be a cool idea, if TLC took in ROH, and did it like a documentary style thing. Like a kayfabe-backstage stuff, and one on one interviews. Still have the matches and all, but have wrestlers go into confessionals, and talk about what they just did and stuff. I'd watch that in a heartbeat.

Hey, I've been playing my second long drawn out game of EWR (the last one was back in 2005) I'm playing as the re-opened MLW and I'm about a year into it...but the thing is, seems like no matter what I do angle wise, everyone looses overness...specially when I run any kind of video angle...
Other than Interviews, if I try to run just about any other type of angle my guys loose there overness...it's annoying...I have 100% production, and high ranked staff members all around...I'm confused and have been just sticking to running matches and the occasional interview...
Could it be becuase Dean Malenko(MLW's new owner) perfers wrestling to sports entertainment?

For the longest time now ive made sure to follow a big match thatll draw big ratings (like Danielson/Cabana) with an interview or angle so that the fans arent burned out for the next match. That's smart. I like that. Thanks for the tip. High on the in-ring quality, low on the fan reaction. Like, 80%/40%. I was hoping the feud would boost them more, but they're still not nearly as over as I want. Perhaps when they get to the upper-mid, I'll reignite the feud, cause the workrate was good. ;D Only the beginning. I originally wasn't going to use Rave with Ryan, but I had nothing better to do for him, and I had this Studio 54 idea in my head for the longest time. Alright, now for a preview of Throwdown, on Saturday, March 15th: Studio 54 vs. The BLKOUT Austin Aries vs. Jimmy Jacobs w/Lacey in a non-title match Bryan Danielson & Brent Albright vs. Eddie Kingston & Colt Cabana Steve Corino & Adam Pearce vs. Nigel McGuinness & Claudio Castagnoli Roderick Strong vs. Dan Maff will settle their war once and for all ... in a Texas Deathmatch! Murderdeathkill defend the ROH Tag Titles against Jack Evans & Matt Sydal! Chris Hero defends the ROH World Title in a triple threat against Jay and Mark Briscoe! Plus: Chris Sabin, Alex Shelley, Puma, Rainman, Sonny Siaki and Mike Quackenbush will be on hand! Jed Shaffer ~This is rather fun, documenting it. I hope someone else is entertained thus far. From my one show. Im always entertained by reading/doing this stuff, so at least you have me! I want to do this myself, but I really dont want to make a third ewr thread thatll be floating around the first page, and I dont want to hijack your thread again (!) oh well.

2nd segment—The Briscoes come to the ring to talk about their war with the Motor City Machine Guns. 4th segment—The BLKOUT vs. Studio 54: On Studio 54’s first night as a team, they take down The BLKOUT, after Team Ego come to the ring and blast Ruckus in the head with a chair. 5th segment—Murderdeathkill vs. Jack Evans & Matt Sydal, ROH Tag Title match: A back and forth match between two of ROH’s premier teams, the tag champs retain after The Messiah rolls through a roll-up attempt by Sydal and holds the tights for the pinfall. Unsatisfied, the teams continue brawling all the way down the aisle and out of view. **** Segment rating: 85%
6th segment—Steve Corino & Adam Pearce vs. Nigel McGuinness & Claudio Castagnoli: Two feuds combine in this match. After McGuinness eats a pair of boots in the corner, Corino gets a roll-up and puts his feet on the ropes. The ref doesn’t see it and makes the three-count. McGuinness and Castagnoli don’t take to that, and hammer their opponents until Corino and Pearce head for the hills. *** Segment rating: 80%
7th segment—Jimmy Jacobs vs. Austin Aries, if Austin wins, gets a title shot at the PPV: Without Lacey, and with a title shot for Aries on the line if he wins, Jacobs throws everything he has at Aries, but Aries nails the 450 and scores the pin. Afterwards, despondent, Jacobs attacks the referee, spiking him with a DDT. ****1/2 Segment rating: 89%
8th segment—When Jacobs gets back to the locker room, Lacey is waiting for him again. She tears into him about not getting the job done, and about how much money he’ll be fined for attacking a referee. Jacobs blows her off. Segment rating: 74% Notes: Lacey gained overness.
9th segment—Bryan Danielson & Brent Albright vs. Colt Cabana & Eddie Kingston: Given their choice of partners for one more match, Kingston chooses Cabana and Albright chooses Danielson. Albright falls to Kingston one more time, tapping out to the Kondo Clutch. Danielson and Albright argue after the match about who dropped the ball. ***3/4 Segment rating: 79%
10th segment—Roderick Strong vs. Dan Maff, Texas Deathmatch: After using everything from tables to a bag of popcorn, Strong wears Maff down to nothing, making him tap to the Stronghold; Maff is unable to get up after all the damage to his back, and loses the match and the war. **3/4 Segment rating: 73% Notes: Both men gained overness.
11th segment—Chris Hero vs. Mark Briscoe vs. Jay Briscoe, ROH World Title triangle match: With the title on the line, the brothers don’t hold out on each other, and certainly not on Chris Hero. Hell, WrestleMania only drew like 14,000 people. I certainly ain't doing 10K if I'm at 28% National, and they're 75% Global. Jed Shaffer ~I wonder if they had to move WrestleMania for "security reasons" again.

1st segment—The Briscoes cut a promo backstage, lashing into the Motor City Machine Guns, saying they hired Murderdeathkill to attack them last week since the MCMG’s couldn’t get it done themselves. 4th segment—Backstage, as Siaki laments his loss, he passes by Roderick Strong, who is trained excitedly for his shot at Chris Hero later on. haha, thanks for that, im stuck in a hotel, bored out of my mind, and this kept me entertained for a bit liking all your angles, and seeing 'hot tub' jimmy rave makes me laugh everytime. the foursome of Corino/Danielson/Cabana/Nigel is an excellent top of the card that doesnt involve the strap. I wish i could snag Corino to a written deal, but hes always in Japan, and no open guys will sign with me cause im global (Nigel and AmDrag just left cause they couldnt keep the schedule) The drama to Lacey/Jacobs unfolds...! Jacobs/Aries Ladder Match would be fun. Just throwing this in, but i cant, for the life of me, think of a stable name for hero's new babyface group (Hero, Bosh, Lost, Kingston) to oppose Joey Ryans group, any ideas? (no, i dont like any of my writers ideas, uhg)

haha, thanks for that, im stuck in a hotel, bored out of my mind, and this kept me entertained for a bit Glad I could help pass the time. ;D I'll admit ... I used the editor program to ... um ... "cancel" their Japanese deals. I needed some higher-end wrestlers, and nobody was available on the free agent list. Plus, it's Nigel, Corino and Danielson, for crying out loud. I'd be nuts NOT to use 'em. Yeah, it kinda took a turn I hadn't initially planned on, but ... well ... opportunities to do something different popped up, so, here we go. [/quote] Hmm ... well, do they have any commonalities? If so, use something based on that. Otherwise ... um ... you could always use The Kings Of Wrestling, since Hero's used that like EVERYWHERE. Or maybe The Honor Guard. Or ... since Ryan's group is the New Dynasty ... dynasties are typically about royalty and a ruling class. Make their name something that stands in direct opposition. Like, The Revolution, or Coup De Tat. Jed Shaffer ~I may have to pick up Bosh & Lost. Their stats just seem so low in mine ... 50's and 60's ... does this seem right?
