Believe me, if I could, I would. But TNA is the #1 company in the game, at about 50% Global, while I sit at about 50% National. It's virtually impossible, without cheating, to steal a contracted wrestler from a larger company.
But the minute I have TNA under my boot heels ... talent raid.
Jed Shaffer ~TNA will be left with Jarrett, Black Reign, the Knockouts, and ... um ... that's probably it.

Well I think you might be able to get Joe, if he has Japanese obligations he couldn't have signed a written contract with TNA.

Well I think you might be able to get Joe, if he has Japanese obligations he couldn't have signed a written contract with TNA. He's got a written deal. No Japanese commitments. Plus, I have a rule: I don't push open-deal wrestlers. It's cost-prohibitive. Open-deal wrestlers are one-shot things (like Tanaka's shot at Chris Hero at Arena Warfare) for me. I save money that way. And right now, with the market in freefall, I need all the money I can. Jed Shaffer ~I think WWE will be National by the summer. And when that happens, CM Punk comes home.

Punk's deal was coming to an end in june of 09 for me, which is when i signed him. Just a heads up as to when you might expect his deal to be coming up.
WWE has been hovering around the 5%-10% Global PI mark for a few months in my game.

rainman will turn them down, just cause i have no idea who rainman is! Onyx and Rainman are the "original" Blackout. They had a brief feud in CZW with BLKOUT (Sabain, Ruckus, Joker, Eddie Kingston) over the rights to the name. Gangster gimmick, pretty much. Jed Shaffer ~Onyx was briefly on TV in TNA as part of the Red Shirt Security team waaaaaaaaaaaaay back when.

Results for Driven, April 9, 2008:
1st segment—Austin Aries & Roderick Strong vs. Adam Pearce & Sonny Siaki: Aries & Strong are able to pick up where Gen Next left off, while the two representatives of Exception To The Rule can’t get on the same page. Siaki holds Strong for Pearce to punch, but Strong wiggles out, and Pearce punches Siaki by accident, leading to yet another Stronghold tap-out victory over Siaki. Pearce isn’t spared punishment either, as Claudio Castagnoli slides in and tattoos Pearce in the back with a chair. ***1/4 Segment rating: 80%
2nd segment—Backstage, Nigel McGuinness is preparing for an interview with Dave Prazak, when Chris Hero storms in with a chair, pummeling McGuinness over and over and over again. Segment rating: 80%
3rd segment—Paul Burchill vs. Kaos vs. Brent Albright, triple threat match: Burchill once again finds Kaos’ weakness, waiting until Kaos kicks Albright out of the ring before nailing the C-4 for the victory. **1/2 Segment rating: 70%
4th segment—Larry Sweeney leads Studio 54 to the ring and asks that Rainman answer their offer to join the team. Over the PA, the voice of Rainman proclaims that Rainman is no more, and that in his place is a new man … “Champagne” Kory Chavis. Chavis comes out, dressed in a slick pimp suit and shakes hands with Sweeney, sealing the deal. Segment rating: 55% Notes: Chavis debuted his new gimmick (“sucka”), which got a positive response.
5th segment—Studio 54 (“Hot Tub” Jimmy Rave & “Champagne” Kory Chavis) w/Larry Sweeney, “Diamond” Joey Ryan & Mickie James vs. The Burning River Brigade: Champagne & Hot Tub gel quickly, especially against the more experienced BRB. But the difference makers are Sweeney and Mickie James, who provide distractions and interference that allow Chavis to score the pinfall on Prohibition. ***1/4 Segment rating: 74%
6th segment—Jimmy Jacobs (c) vs. Mike Quackenbush, Pure Title match: Studio 54’s fortunes keep getting better, as “Diamond” Joey Ryan ruins Quackenbush’s chances at becoming Pure Champion. Jacobs helps Ryan tie up Quackenbush in the ropes and they both punch away at Quack until officials run them off. *** Segment rating: 74%
7th segment—Sabian comes out to the ring alone, and before he can explain why, Team Ego swarm and take him down. Ruckus comes out with a chair, but El Generico occupies Ruckus, leaving Steen the opportunity to blindside their opponent. Team Ego leave their enemies broken and battered. Segment rating: 50%
8th segment— Jack Evans vs. The Messiah, Matt Sydal and Justice Pain are barred from ringside: With their partners barred from ringside, Evans’ only worry is The Messiah’s penchant for violence. Fortunately, his dazzling aerial attacks give him enough edge to nail the 630 and score the pin, giving Sydal and Evans individual victories over the tag champs. But before Evans can celebrate, The Messiah grabs Evans and nails the Godsmack. *** Segment rating: 80%
9th segment—The Briscoes take to the ring, running down the Motor City Machine Guns. Their enemies come out on the stage and offer up a challenge for Supercard Of Honor, inside a steel cage. The Briscoes gladly accept. Segment rating: 65% Notes: All four men lost overness.
10th segment—Steve Corino vs. Colt Cabana: Corino and Cabana slug it out in a breathtaking spectacle, but the deciding factor is the obsessive Bryan Danielson, who nails Cabana in the head with a steel chair to set up the Corino victory. Afterwards, Danielson ties Cabana in the ropes, grabs the chair again and dents it on Cabana’s unprotected head. ****1/4 Segment rating: 94%
11th segment—Bryan Danielson vs. BJ Whitmer: Whitmer holds his own against the self-proclaimed “best wrestler in the world”, but can’t defend himself when Corino hits him from behind. Danielson locks in the Cattle Mutilation, and Whitmer has no choice but to tap. Danielson then approaches Corino … and they shake hands! ***1/2 Segment rating: 86% Notes: Whitmer lost overness.
Overall rating: 74%

I love this, at first I thought this would be kind of a lame thing to read. Then I read it and started loving it. Not sure if it's the detail or that your just much better then I at EWR.
I love your choice of having Tammy as commish, and the group of guys you like even though they are not bringing up the ratings so much. It is better then say having your best guys in the shows as much as possible to max ratings every week, but be uninteresting which is how I do it.

Tell me, my good sir, when will Chris Jericho become a free agent? With the Jericholics mobilized, WWE will fall.... I don't know. He's actually signed to TNA anyway, so I don't stand a prayer of getting him unless TNA suddenly bottoms out. I love this, at first I thought this would be kind of a lame thing to read. Then I read it and started loving it. Not sure if it's the detail or that your just much better then I at EWR. Thanks! I wasn't sure if anyone would find it entertaining, reading about someone else playing a game. Who knew? Truth be told, I hired Tammy as a stopgap measure, cause 1) I wanted an authority figure, and 2) She was the #1 talent in another promotion (NWA: Cyberspace), and I was feeling kinda jerkish at the time. As for the roster ... I want to get to a point where there's a BUNCH of guys who can boost the ratings, not just the usual suspects. Better to have too much talent then not enough, ya know? Jed Shaffer ~Soon, I'm gonna need a developmental system. I'm thinking, if my profit goes up this month, I open one.

My developmental system has been AMAZINGLY useful. I have a group of 4-5 midcarders atm that i had never heard of before the game that i stuck in developmental and got them a lot better. They are literally my Austin/HHH/Rock/Foley of 96/97 or so, when those 4 were all midcarders on their way up to be stars. And if I may make a suggstion, I think you should use Corino's amazing (i think its 95?) charisma in interviews more, itll give a great segment rating (i assume hes over, as hes a main eventer for you) as well as further a feud, and get him over sometimes as well. Again, not trying to tell you how to play or anything, just that interviews are a favorite way of mine to progress feuds without having the same matches over and over again, or doing the same angles more than once every few months, and its an easy and solid way of delivering good show ratings. Plus i think you said Corino was your favorite wrestler, why deny a chance at using him more
