Jeesh. This guy is a total mark for himself. If you guys have had a chance to watch the WWE 24/7 Legends of wrestling shows hosted by Ross or watch the WCCW dvd. You will know what im talking about. This guy acts like he is on hogan level drawing. He thinks he was the draw for world class. When it reality it was the von erichs. This jerk is so full of himself. How long was actually in the business? I dont remember him making a much of a splash in NY for any long period of time. He couldnt work a lick in the ring. Just had some decent mic skills and was a big loudmouth. It was Gordy and Roberts who carried the workload.

Hmmm
...oh wait, he's the one writing Smackdown and now ECW and both of those show's ratings are going up.
Failing to see the BS part of him

The BS part is he thinks he revolutioned the business like Hogan or Austin did. Thats what's BS. What a mark this guy is. Him and his dog the bounty look.

That reminds me, they need to bring back Action Zone. The lack of wrestling on Wednesday is a travesty.

and if u give Hayes's wrting credit for smackdown.. You gotta give it up for Russo and Ferrera since their writing increased ratings more than hayes has for smackdown ever had or ever will. The way this guy rambles on about how much of a draw he was, he sounds like he sold the garden out more than bruno did.

I fail to see why he is so highly considered in the WWE.
There are people who have made more of an impact and had/have more talents than him.
Sometimes makes very valid points however.

Once again, when he took over the book for SmackDown and (recently) ECW, ratings went up. There is a precedent here.

Maybe its the way he works behind the scenes that gets people to consider him so highly? Something we don't get to see.

Clearly Michael Hayes isn't anywhere near the draw that WARRIOR was.

The guy is a mark for himself sure, but the Freebirds WERE an innovative tag team. I'm not putting him up there with Hogan and such, but a LOT of wrestlers grew up idolizing the 'Birds.
And I think the Freebirds have a right to at least hold half a claim on the World Class thing. The Von Erichs were the big stars, but outside of the Dynamic Duo, they are known for their big feud with the Freebirds, which drew a TON of money.
Hayes' opinion of himself is extremely biased, but I have a good feeling that the thread starter is too...just in the opposite direction.

I don't think he's full of shit. The Freebird/Von Erich feud was to Texas what Hogan/Piper was to NY. He had a biggerimpact on the south than he did in the WWF, because the Freebirds were only there for a VERY brief time-Vince wanted to split them up so they left.
