41. The Messiah Highest Ranking: #8 To say William Welch had the most controversial gimmick ever would be an understatement. He debuted in XPW as the second coming of Christ and would have some of the bloodiest matches ever in XPW(think about that). He would then jump to CZW while still holding the XPW World Title and XPW Deathmatch title and quit the company. This "angered" XPW owner and all around scumbag Rob Black who for leaving the company and allegedly sleeping with his wife Lizzie Borden. On August 1, 2002, Messiah was attacked in his home and had his thumb cut off, many believe Black was behind the attack. Nevertheless, Messiah competed in the first Tournament of Death weeks later and would hold the CZW World title three times and the CZW Iron Man title Tribute Video The Messiah vs. "Sick" Nick Mondo Tournament of Death 2002 Semi Finals www.dailymotion.com/relevance/search/The%2BMessiah%2BCZW/video/x312aq_czw-messiah-vs-mondo-tod2_sport

I didn't see the original post in this thread, but was there a basic definition for what should be considered a hardcore wrestler? I put up brawler, hardcore, ultraviolent, daredevil, extreme, deathmatch wrestler. Not my fault

I didn't put Jimmy on my list but that is a really good pick now that I think about it.
However, CM Punk and Bob Holly? Boo.
Stevie? YAY!

40. W*NG Kanemura Highest Ranked: #8 Kouhiro Kanemura, better than as W*ING Kanemura was one of Japan's biggest deathmatch wrestlers, competing in both FMW, BJW and W*NG. 39. Ian Rotten Highest Ranked: #13 Ian Rotten made an impact in the american wrestling scene in ECW as a member of the Bad Breed with half brother Axl Rotten. After the team was disbanded, Ian and Axl went on a rampage against each other in the bloodiest of matches, concluding in a Taipei Death Match to which Axl won. Ian owns IWA-MS and is a two time King of the Deathmatch winner and a former 9x IWA-MS champion. In 2003, he led IWA-MS in a promotional feud with CZW, with Ian making it to the finals of the Tournament of Death, only to fall to Nick Mondo. 38. Carlos Colon Highest Ranked: #8 Colon was a pioneer in the wrestling scene in Puerto Rico, creating the WWC and like most promotors, made himself the main guy on top. He would have legendary feuds with Ric Flair, Bruiser Brody and most noteworthy with Abdullah the Butcher. Colon is quoted as saying: "Eighty percent of the blood I've shed in the ring I've shed because of Abdullah." He went on to win every title in the WWC and sports over 70 scars on his forehead, each a symbol of honor for all the brutal and bloody matches he's been involved in. 36. Axl Rotten Highest Ranked: #12 *Read first part of Ian's section* After the feud with Ian, Axl would start teaming with Balls Mahoney as the Extreme Chair Swinging Freaks and deliver some of the loudest chair shots ever heard. Axl left the company and became a staple of XPW's Deathmatch division, competing for the Deathmatch title but never winning the title. He would go on to IWA-MS to win the heavyweight title and the IWA-MS tag team titles Tribute Video Axl Rotten vs. Supreme XPW Deathmatch title(Cage and Thumbtacks match).....sorry best i could get www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0zGCIYVoBw

No Toby Klein, but CM Punk, Stevie Richards and Jimmy Jacobs made the list? Come on people, very disappointing Don't blame me; I voted for Klein! I also voted for Lobo, who did not make it into the top 50 either. One (great) wrestler who I did not vote for was Jerry Lynn. I didn't vote for him because I regard him as a mat technician / high-flier. He may occasionally use chairs, but that doesn't make him a hardcore wrestler in my book (same goes for RVD, which is why I didn't vote for him either). As for that hint about 'two brothers who nearly killed each other,' I thought The Headhunters were the individuals in question! Regretfully, I totally forgot about The Headhunters when I cast my votes. Maybe that's for the best; I can't tell Headhunter A apart from Headhunter B, so how would I rank one above the other? And not to run down those who voted contrary to my preferences, but in my opinion, the only thing that has impressed me about Ian Rotten and Mad Man Pondo is their ability to tolerate pain. I think they're the worst example of deathmatch wrestlers. Comparatively speaking, I'm more impressed with New Jack; unlike Ian & Pondo, he's charismatic, cuts awesome promos, and can even put on some pretty good hardcore exhibitions when he isn't trying to murder his opponent (New Jack vs Gypsy Joe was actually pretty good until the audience and Joe pissed New Jack off to the point where he legitimately attacked Joe with a bat).

Lessee...hints...
Well, one is Al Snow. I'm guessing Kane for the last one.
That's a good question, actually--are different gimmicks for the same man lumped under one man, or can they be separated?

The third hint sounds applicable to SeXXXy Eddy, who ranked very high on my list.

A member of the PWG Six- Super Dragon(which would be the first guy off my list)
and yeah, I think the Blood is Eddy, and the casket is probably Kane(I would hope foley would be higher as well).
The other ones out of those hints are pretty obvious, IMO

Pondo was another vote of mine
Yea he's on mine too, Eddy is fantastic.
The stuff about the coffin could be Matsunaga, he had a coffin match against Pogo, where he was closed in some weird velvet casket then set on fire.

35. Bam Bam Bigelow Higest Ranked: #5 Bam Bam Bigelow was a laughing stock in 1995 when he was beaten by Lawrence Taylor in the main event of Wrestlemania 11. But two years later, he would be one of the biggest stars in ECW, winning both the ECW world title and television titles during his stint. He became a member of Shane Douglas' Triple Threat stable and had wars with Taz over the TV title and Taz's FTW title, including putting each other through the ring. He then left for WCW where he was immediately put into a feud with Goldberg for the WCW title. He was then put as a member of DDP's Jersey Triad stable and won the WCW tag team titles and also won the WCW Hardcore title Tribute Video Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Taz for the FTW Title(Falls count Anywhere) Part 1 www.youtube.com/watch?v=BtKx67fQkskPart 2 www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsCJYpoi7qM&feature=relatedPart 3 www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgwK0nTvypM&feature=related
