18. Rob Van Dam Highest Ranking: #10 RVD entered ECW in 1996 and was put into a feud with Sabu. He would then team with Bu and win the ECW tag team titles twice. He would win and hold on to the ECW World Television Title for nearly two years until an ankle injury sidelined him. He would be one of the most featured players in the Invasion, winning the WWF Hardcore title and feud with Jeff Hardy. After the Invasion, Van Dam would go on to hold nearly every title in the WWE including the IC, European, World and WWE Tag, Money in the Bank, WWE and ECW titles until he left the company in 2007. As great as the CZW vs ROH feud was, why does the CZW vs IWA-MS feud get comparatively overlooked? Didn't that feud bring guys like Necro and JC Bailey into CZW in the first place? ^ I think because a majority of the feud revolved around deathmatches and if you don't enjoy that type of match you will be less inclined to watch the feud. plus the feud didn't last too long. JC, Ian, and Corp invaded the ECW arena and attacked Zandig and each declared they would me in TOD 2. at the next show Zandig offered Necro a roster spot, and he betrayed Zandig. Then came TOD, Mondo won (and had to retire), then JC,Necro, and Nate Webb (who also entered TOD) became regulars while Corporal Robinson had a couple more matches and Rotten kind of left.

17. Danny Havoc Highest Ranking: #4 Danny Havoc is one of the CZW wrestling school's graduates. He made his debut at Tournament of Death 2005 and started working smaller CZW shows. He was also invited to IWA-MS King of the Deathmatch Tournament. He has taken some of the most brutal bumps and has bled buckets. He would win the CZW World Junior Heavyweight title and would win the 2008 Tournament of Death. 16. Masato Tanaka Highest Ranking: #11 Masato Tanaka is one of the most decorated stars in Japan. His deathmatches in FMW earned him the nickname "Dangan"(Bullet) as he feuded with a who's who including Mr. Pogo, Mr. Gannosuke, Terry Funk and his lifelong nemesis, Mike Awesome. He would win most of the titles in FMW including the Street Fight six man titles, brass knuckles heavyweight and tag titles and FMW World title. He would come to ECW in 99 and continue his feud with Awesome for the ECW title, defeating him for the title. He would also win the ECW World Tag team titles with Balls Mahoney and Tommy Dreamer. At the first One Night Stand, Tanaka and Awesome would have one last match together with Awesome winning. YES! STEVE BLACKMAN IS HARDCORE! I always liked Blackman's matches, but there's no way I'd rank him above SeXXXy Eddy, Zandig, or The Messiah in terms of superior wrestling (hardcore or otherwise). As for the Crash & 'Hardcore' Holly, I never saw much in them, save for Hardcore Holly's ability to dish out excellent dropkicks.

A guy who was just plain awesome- Mike Awesome
a guy who was the originator of violence- Tommy Dreamer cause he's fat.
and a guy who was the sickest M'FR ever- Sick Nick Mondo.

Crash's role in Hardcore history is a goofy one. He defined the WWF Hardcore title...by defending it in laundromats and massage parlors and children's play areas. Right then. Blackman, all Norris-esque joking aside, is a legit badass, so I'm cool with him, as he introduced a lot of more "conventional" weapons in the equation.

For a God of Hardcore you sure don't seem to be too enlightened. Well to be honest I've never found any appeal in CZW. I've seen a few matches here and there and always thought they were just glorified backyard matches. Yes I know about CZW VS ROH and was like........what were they thinking why would anybody want to work with them. Just an FYI. There are more people from Team CZW than Team ROH on ROH's current roster today. This being from the Cage of Death that took place on an ROH show...I want to say the Death Before Dishonor from that year. Nowadays CZW is just a independent promotion. Most of the same workers work them, IWA-MS, CHIKARA and ROH preshows.

15. Mike Awesome Highest Ranked: #10 Mike Awesome was one of the most gifted wrestlers ever as he had tremendous strength but also had the agility of a cruiserweight. He made his impact in FMW with his feud with Masato Tanaka and winning a brass knuckles title. In 1999, he would work full time for ECW winning the ECW title from Taz and Tanaka in a 3 way dance. During the fall and winter of 99/2000, Awesome would go through everyone, putting men and women through tables with the Awesome Bomb and winning the ECW Tag team titles with Raven. His biggest claim to infamy though would be leaving for WCW with the ECW title. He would lose the title to the WWF contracted Taz and would start working with WCW. He began as the career killer, most notably for throwing Chris Kanyon off the bottom roof of the triple decker cage and Awesome Bombing Hulk Hogan through a table. He would make it to the finals of the United States title tournament until being defeated by Scott Steiner. Then............well you know the rest. He would participate in the InVasion, winning the WWF Hardcore title until being fired. He would come back at ECW One Night Stand and steal the show with Tanaka. 14. "The Monster" Abyss Highest Ranked: #7 Abyss was brought into TNA as Kid Kash's "personal enforcer" until leaving him and settled their feud in a first blood chair on a pole (ie Russo) match. He would then be the monster against Raven and his flock until he went after AJ Styles. Abyss and AJ would win the NWA Tag team titles but were vacated soon after. He would then have different feuds while in TNA but also was comepeting in ROH with the Embassy and he, Alex Shelly and Jimmy Rave won the 06 Trios Tournament. He would feud with Generation Next and Abyss and Embassy lost to Gen Next in Steel Cage Warfare. Back in TNA, Abyss would have No Rope Barbed Wire matches with Sabu and Ricky Banderas and win the NWA World Title. Tribute Video: Abyss vs. Sabu (No Ropes Barbed Wire Massacre Match) www.dailymotion.com/relevance/search/Abyss%2BTNA/video/x38bs8_abyss-vs-sabu-barbed-wire-massacre_extreme

13. The Dudley Family Highest Ranking: #7 The Dudley Family is one of the most "unique" teams ever assembled. Back in the original ECW, Buh Buh Ray and D-Von ran over every tag team including The Eliminators, The Gangstas, RVD and Sabu, Balls Mahoney and Masato Tanaka. They were THE heels of the 90s and could spark a riot at any second. Big Dick Dudley was the mastadon that simply threw people around while Little Spike Dudley was the main focus of his half siblings as they did everything to him, including putting him through a flaming table. Buh Buh and D-Von would win 8 ECW tag team titles until leaving for WWF. Spike would win 2 Tag team titles with Balls Mahoney. Big Dick would go to XPW and win the XPW World Title but was striped because it violated his probation (or some shit I didn't bother looking). Buh Buh and D-Von would win 9 WWE Tag team titles and win the WWE-owned WCW Tag Team titles. After they left for TNA, they would win the NWA Tag team titles and become the first TNA World Tag Team titles. Spike would win the WWE Hardcore, European and Tag team titles.
