11. The Sheik Highest Ranking: #4 Ed Farhat(aka the Sheik) can be billed as the first hardcore wrestler. In the 60's and 70's, he would use pencils and fireballs to attack his opponents and would feud in bloodbathes with the likes of Bobo Brazil, Dory Funk Jr., Abdullah the Butcher, "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers and others. He would win the NWA (Detroit) United States title 12 times and NWA (Toronto) United States title 3 times and the United National Heavyweight title in Japan. He trained both Rob Van Dam and his nephew, Sabu. He was inducted in the 2007 WWE Hall of Fame in Detroit. #50-11 have been revealed so the Top 10 are about to be revealed. The next time I do these i'll do all ten. No more hints. You know who isn't on the list yet and the #1 and #2 selections were only seperated by 2 points.

Givens to be in the top 10 are Sabu, Sandman, Raven, Funk and Foley (who I think will be 1 and 2 respectively, but whether they should or not..) I think Zandig may get in the top 10 too, which IMO is ludicrous. Tanaka has to be in the top 10 as well.

Where's Dances With Dudley? LOL Zandig was already ranked. And Zandig being in the top 10 sounds a lot more reasonable to me than a guy like, say, New Jack or JBL. Anyway, here are some wrestlers who I think are bound to be in the top 10: Mick Foley Terry Funk Raven The Sandman (He ranked much lower on my list, however) Sabu Tommy Dreamer Bruiser Brody Necro Butcher The Arsenal (According to achayes, he DIDN'T fall short of making the rankings. I voted for him, and I've yet to see his name, so...)

Nice, that was me.
Glad to see Abyss get some recognition too. Dude's been in some of the worst angles of all time but can bump like a mofo.

Zandig was already ranked, but give him some credit, the dude did bring the Japanese Hardcore style to the US. Oh and those Mondo tributes made me remember how much I miss the guy. He keeps talking about possibly making a comeback, but refuses to do deathmatches.

Are you kidding? On Mondo's official message board, he is very adamant about leaving wrestling in his past (which is why he has refused even such non-physical opportunities as colour commentary and CZW commissioner).

Every now and then he'll say if the right oppurtunity presented itself. When he was still dating Rain, he got booked in Germany and was told he wouldn't have to do anything hardcore, but they changed their mind. So Mondo and Rain decided to go on vacation in Germany cause he got paid in advanced. I think Mondo also is reluctant to commit to a comeback so no one gets too excited.

I think he is better off being retired. As do I. His career ended on a high note, and there's nothing meaningful left for him to accomplish. I wouldn't mind him doing commentary for CZW, but for the sake of his health and for his legacy as a wrestlers, I hope Matt Burns (Nick Mondo) never wrestles again.

Is this thing still going, or has it been abandoned?
Anyway, aside from the Headhunters, one person who I regret not voting for is 'Spyder' Nate Webb. His TOD2 match against Zandig and his TOD4 match against Nick Gage are classics. His performance at Cage of Death 6 was pretty solid, too.

9. Necro Butcher Highest Ranking: #1 Necro has become the face of hardcore wrestling today. He's done things that nobody has ever done before (like getting his tongue stapled to the turnbuckle). He got his first break in Texas, fighting for Brass Knuckles titles until going to IWA-MS and won the 2002 King of the Deathmatch tournament. He would compete for the first ever CZW Ultraviolent Underground championship, losing to JC Bailey. He would win the CZW World Tag team titles with Toby Klein and later in the year would win the 2005 Tournament of Death, defeating both Zandig and Nick Gage in the finals. He would a heavily featured player in the ROH vs. CZW feud and have brawls with Samoa Joe and BJ Whitmer. He would have an epic Barbed wire match with Whitmer at War of the Wire II. He's competed in many Cage of Death matches and now competes for ROH and CZW where he's gone hollywood. 8. "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer Highest Ranking: #7 Tommy Dreamer was the heart and soul of the original ECW. He became one of its first stars, even though fans shitted on him at every moment. But little by little, Dreamer got the respect of the fans by taking some of the most brutal bumps and the wildest of hardcore matches all over the arena. His biggest feud would be with Raven and he didn't beat him for 2 years until Raven's last night in the company. He won the ECW World Tag Team titles 3 times with Johnny Gunn, Raven and Masato Tanaka. He would also with the ECW World Title and hold for a few moments before being beaten by Justin Credible. When he went to the WWE, he would win the Hardcore title 14 times (Remember in the 24/7 period). He now competes in the new ECW and has feuded with The Great Khali, John Morrison and the Miz and Mike Knox. 7. The Sandman Highest Ranking: #4 The Sandman first started as one of Tri-State Wrestling's first students as he would be a surfer. Well it sucked and soon he became a cane swinging, beer chugging, cigarette smoking hardcore legend. He would win the ECW World Title five times and the ECW World Tag team titles with 2 Cold Scorpio. While in ECW he feuded with Tommy Dreamer, Mikey Whipwreck, Steve Austin, Raven and Steve Corino. He would go to XPW and win the XPW Deathmatch title and feud with Supereme and Pogo the Clown. After he knew where he was, he bolted for TNA and feuded with Raven and his Gathering. He would be hired by WWE as part of the new ECW and would be around for a year until being drafted to RAW and then being fired. 10. New Jack Highest Ranking: #7 That was me. Dude is hardcore 24/7. Also, the "official" name of his team with Kronus was The Gangstanators. Lolz.

6. Bruiser Brody Highest Ranking: #1 Bruiser Brody has been one of the most influential wrestlers of all time as most hardcore wrestlers today pattern their styles from Brody. He made his mark in the Mid-West and other NWA promotions and Japan until making it big in WCCW where he feuded with the Freebirds, Gary Hart and Skandar Akbar. He became huge in the Puerto Rico promotion, WWC. He feuded with Abdullah the Butcher and Carlos Colon in wild and bloody brawls. He was also rumored to have been hired to attack Mr. T before Wrestlemania 1 so the event would be ruined, this would be because of him getting blackballed by WWF. He would be murdered in 1988 in San Juan by wrestler/promoter Jose Huertez Gonzales Tribute Video: Bruiser Brody vs. Giant Baba www.youtube.com/watch?v=YU3BYf4mljo
