To be really honest, I don't care one bit about him.
He may be the greatest technical wrestler to ever step in the ring, but he's approx the size of Brian Kendrick... How could fans buy him as a legit threat to "regular size" guys like Orton, Cena or Triple H? Let's not even imagine him against JBL, Kane and the super heavyweights.
Technical wrestling had its role back in the 80s, but "small" wrestlers were 6" 240lbs, not 5"10 185 soaked wet.. And anyway, they used to wrestle eachother for the IC title rather than being "fed" to the likes of Hogan.
Comparing Angle and Benoit to Danielson is rather silly IMO. Both men were big enough to look credible against bigger opponents.
And btw, the Punk lovefest was already hard to bear, having another Indie God in WWE would be too much...

Do you know who else is apparently about 5"11 and 185 pounds, despite how the WWE bills him? Shawn Michaels. That said, if the WWE signs Danielson, I don't see him every becoming a permanent fixture in the main event. Like Benoit or Jericho or Matt Hardy, he'll be a solid presence in the midcard, and will occasionally be called up to the main event when more prominent people are injured or the fans are bored of seeing the same combination of wrestlers. He does have friends in high places, though, which can only help him.

I would like to see Danielson in WWE. Hype him up for weeks as a MMA like fighter and in his first match, say against.....Santino Marella, Danielson knocks him out in the first two minutes with the MMA Elbows then puts him in Cattle Mutalation. Then just make him say he's the best in the world and won't let people tell him how to wrestle. For example, the announcers have to cancel a match cause Danielson's matches are going too long and give him a good run.
He doesn't have to have the world title right away but keep him in the midcard for a few years until the HHH, HBK, Batista and Undertakers of the world are gone in a few years and he can get a main event push.

No. All the 10 minute Danielson matches in the world couldn't get me to think this is a good idea. Haven't seen a Punk match since Punk: The Final Chapter. And the last Bryan Danielson match I see will be the one at his tribute show (If he ever sells out). Yes because as we all know you're obviously a no-good sell-out if you go to the WWE

He'd do fine in the WWE as long as you DON'T PUT HIM ON RAW.
That would guarantee him being lost in the booking shuffle.

"Would you like to seem go to WWE?"
Do you mean, "Would you like to see him go to WWE?"
If that's the question, the answer is hell no. Why watch another promising career go down the tubes?

Danielson is far superior to anything Beniot ever was, and he can generate heat with the crowd with ease, he is far more of a Kurt Angle type than a Chris Benoit

It's weird because it most likely was a one shot that could lead into a contract down the line if he decides to sign. But seeing him in the WWE again did feel good.
I would rather he partner up with Ted Dibiase Jr. win the tag belts then go on from there if he decides to sign. Then have him go full heel. Imagine that.
But i'm sure he knows his options and the obvious changes that will be made throughout the whole independant scene when a guy like him is stuck in a WWE contract.
I'm sure we all we see some shakes ups when the draft happens so we all need to pump our brakes. We just got Matt...Evan Bourne on the screen. And we don't even have Colt yet.
And to the whole argument on size. You let Danielson trap anyone from Shannon Moore to the Great Khali with the MMA elbows then see how people react. Especially if this "new guy" did it to a high mid-card guy or main eventer.

If he goes to WWE, it's not like he's going to be permanently neutered... it'd at the least prolong his career with the safer style, and if it didn't work out... back to the indies.

I think Danielson is just tired of wrestling long matches and wearing himself and his health down. He probably tuned into RAW, saw the standard four min matches and then decided it was time to take it down a notch.

Quick tangent. How is securing a better job for yourself with some actual security selling out? Just because he wouldn't be working for your favorite promotion.

After all the concussions this guy had to wrestle through, it'd be nice to have him under wellness. Especially since wellness just isn't about drug testing.
Plus the guy would work really well in WWE connections or not.

Here is to hoping they sign Super Dragon eventhough I doubt that will ever happen because of his size but of course I said the same thing about Matt Sydal a few years ago. If they are going to sign any of the PWG 6 it's going to be Joey Ryan, since he's been used on WWE TV as a jobber since 2005. I think re-using the same guy when they are on the west coast usually means they have interest in using the guy in the future. Plus Super Dragon is injured, fat, and works a style that isn't geared towards a TV audience. Well he used to, when he wasn't so gosh darn fat.

Mick Foley goes over this stupid "thinking" in his first book. He said his whole goal in his career was to put on the best match he possibly could in front of appreciative crowds and get paid well for doing so. "Hardcore" fans bitched, but he said in just one year working for Vince, he had the best feud (Taker) and best match of his career (HBK) and did so in front of more people and for more money than he'd ever done before. It was his dream come true. Then he became a massive star. So nuts to the whole "You Sold Out!" crowd.... Also, as for those bemoaning Danielson's size, isn't he about Eddie Guerrero's size and a bit larger than Rey Mysterio? Those two did ok in WWE....

Also, do you think it's possibly that Eddy might've paved the way for Mysterio? To clear things up, I doubt anyone on these boards actually thinks less of Danielson because of his size. Vince, however, would. It's a subtle difference, I know, but it's one that every indy wrestling fan always forgets. With the possible exception of CM Punk, pretty much every talented smaller guy from the indies is completely buried in the company right now (Londrick, Moore Wang, Super Crazy, etc.). That won't change soon, either.

Eddie Guerrero had three things going for him besides his family name and his great wrestling.
Mic Skills, Overwhelming Charisma, and the Hispanic Demographic. Seriously he was A GOD in Los Angeles.
I think it really is unfair to compare Danielson to Eddie...
Danielson has not been on TV, and people's first exposure to him will be on WWE TV not what they saw on the internet
