So with Danielson having a victory over Lance Cade on Raw it seems like Bryan Danielson might be going to WWE. Now that would be a big hit for ROH but still I'd like to see it since he would fill a role that has been vacant since Angle left and Benoit dying. They really need a guy who is a great technical wrestler to make people look good and also be a guy who could be a main eventer and I feel Danielson could be that. But what does everyone else think?

Dark match last night--Danielson defeated Cade with Cattle Mutilation. *cums* Seriously though that's awesome, I can definately see him filling a Benoit type role, if he has been signed then I'm really pleased for the guy, hopefully he'll be a big hit, just as long as they don't saddle him with some stupid gimmick.

I'm not sure to be completely honest. There's no doubt in my mind he's the greatest technical wrestler alive today, but since when has that mattered in the E?

Well they have pushed technical wrestlers like the Backlund, Hart, Angle, and Benoit. And I can see them push Danielson honestly since it's seemed they've wanting to be in WWE since both Micheals and Regal did train him and he was a former WWE developmental wrestler.

Honestly, as much as I like him myself, I just don't think he'd get over in WWE.

Well, technical wrestling has always mattered, it's just not always the main focus of the world title. Look back through WWF history and there are always a few workers who can get it done featured prominantly: Going back to the early 80's, it was Steamboat, Savage, then Bret and Perfect, then Shawn, then Jericho, the Radicals and Kurt Angle. Even guys like Lance Storm we're in the mix for years to keep wrestling on the show. Now the only real representations of that style is CM Punk and Shelton Benjamin. WWf has always had good matches to support the ridiculous soap oprea stuff on top and that's one of the reasons they've been successful. It really is a three ring circus - if you don't like the clowns, turn your attention to the acrobats and soon there will be a Lion tamer and a 400 lbs man with 3 boobs.

Let him do his MMA elbows and knock a few guys out then watch him get over!

Not sure. I've seen a lot of gold turned into crap and crap turned into gold in the WWE and WCW when they were relevant. I'm just not sure how he will be used or how he should be used in a WWE environment for that matter.
I guess I'll just cross my fingers and hope for the best and brace myself for the worst.

He's small (billed at 185), so he'll probably get the ECW title at most.

Is it just me or is WWE really starting to recruit from the Indies. First CM Punk, then Matt Sydal, and now Danielson.
I really hope they are going for a bit more of a technical wrestling style. It would be a very good move by WWE. It would offer something new.
Here is to hoping they sign Super Dragon eventhough I doubt that will ever happen because of his size but of course I said the same thing about Matt Sydal a few years ago.

Well I'm hoping they just give him the CM Punk treatment and basically let him come in as himself with basically the same gimmick he has been using in ROH (wrestling machine) give him a little winning streak then maybe have Michaels help him beat Jericho for the IC title?!
I'm getting WAYYY too ahead of myself ;D

It's nothing but a good idea. They need someone in the midcard to fill that void that Chris Benoit left behind. That hard nosed technical no non-sense wrestler who will stretch you and suplex you 100 different ways. That's Bryan Danielson. Plus I'd say he's a better promo than Benoit. You give me Danielson in the WWE midcard for 7-8 years pumping out excellent matches with the Matt Hardys and Chris Jerichos of the world and I'll be a happy man.

Danielson would be an excellent aquisition for WWE. He is simply the best technical wrestler on the planet. And im pretty much hyperventilating at the prospect of a Teacher vs Student match between HBK and AmDrag.
