Man... Danielson is my favorite in-ring wrestler along with Rob Van Dam. If the WWE picks up Danielson, I will mark out... I will simply mark the f*** out... for the two weeks until they ruin his gimmick and turn him into a joke. However, with Punk and now maybe Danielson in the WWE, they're starting to go in the right direction. Put Danielson in ECW and have him feud with Punk and I'll watch WWE programming every week. Now all they need is Samoa Joe and MM will be into WWE again.

No. All the 10 minute Danielson matches in the world couldn't get me to think this is a good idea. Haven't seen a Punk match since Punk: The Final Chapter. And the last Bryan Danielson match I see will be the one at his tribute show (If he ever sells out). Yes because as we all know you're obviously a no-good sell-out if you go to the WWE The words came directly from Danielson's mouth. He said (about a sold out Manhatten Center) "These are the reasons why I never sold out, why I never took that big money contract" at the Sixth Anniversary Show. If he says going to the WWE is selling out, then goes to the WWE he's a sell out.

And secondly I hate all this "sell-out" garbage. I mean I wouldn't blame him for going to WWE he'd get better pay, bigger exposure and probaly better benefits. Plus why wouldn't he want to wrestle on the biggest stage possible, I mean even if he just is a midcarder he could still probaly compete at Wrestlemania which every wrestler in America strives for and who knows he could be a main eventer in the future. One of my favorite comments on this is from Mick Foley, "yes I sold out....SOLD OUT THE MADISON SQUARE GARDEN!" Serious people grow the f*** up!

Eddie Guerrero had three things going for him besides his family name and his great wrestling. Mic Skills, Overwhelming Charisma, and the Hispanic Demographic. Seriously he was A GOD in Los Angeles. I think it really is unfair to compare Danielson to Eddie... Danielson has not been on TV, and people's first exposure to him will be on WWE TV not what they saw on the internet I was simply comparing their physical size. Yeah height wise they may be the same, but he has not established himself at all like Eddie did, or have an ethnicity to bank on.

It was just Danielson saying that to get a face reaction to help Nigel's heel turn later in the show.

Hmmmm work in front of a few hundred fans for probably not even 1/3 of what he would make in WWE or wrestle for WWE and make good money while exposing himself to a larger audience. And all the while making himself more valuable to indy promotions if he is ever fired/quits WWE. Hmmm yeah real hard decision there. Also, if Jamie Noble hardly gets TV time I doubt Danielson would get much more.

Don't see why the same can't be said for Danielson. Punk's got the whole straight edge thing going on and he's got an unique look to him compared to other guys on the roster. That's one of the reasons why fans take to Jeff Hardy, he's not like the other muscle bound guys on the roster. Danielson will come off as just another wrestler to the casual fan unless they give him a HUGE HUGE HUGE MEGA push. And even then that won't guarantee him getting over with the audience.

This was at a Raw taping, right? Maybe the Raw writers wanted to get a good look at his work in order to determine if he could work well as the hired gun that teams with Ted DiBiase Jr.

Seeing how Triple H hates Danielson I dont see him going very far in the company probably be jobbing two months into his career and then getting released.

Most people here were saying he wouldn't get over because of both the straight edge thing and because, apparently, he looks like he hasn't had a shower in several days. I don't see it, but hey, doesn't matter since he got over. It's Creative and 's job to get the guy over. Make him Ted Dibase Jr's hired assassin, give him some videos, build him up a bit. Noone is expecting him to get on TV and suddenly get mega popped. The only reason Punk did was because he debuted at one of his old haunts (The Hammerstein Ballroom). Like the guy below you said, he was pretty over with the fans when he faced Cade. Yeah, they mentioned he was a hometown favourite, but if the crowd get into you in a dark match, that's something. Look what happened to DH Smith. The guy wasn't exactly unique, but for his first two matches, he was more over then he has any right to be. It was his fault he lost that.

(especially given i don't think either has even met him) this is the first i've heard of this story.

Danielson has the potential to do better than CM Punk IMO if pushed in a similar fashion. However the guy's just talking out of his ass.

Of course Triple H and HBK don't like Indie God #52874... he's better than them and he would steal their thunder, making them look useless... Luckly we know the Cliq rules WWE and any possible thread will be saddled with a silly gimmick and buried in a matter of weeks.

I don't think he has the "it" factor to make it big in WWE. Punk has is, like this thing that makes fans not knowing him fall in love with him. Danielson is a extremmely good wrestler and given a chance could win people over like Regal but never expect him to be a world champ
