Sounds pretty lame actually, outside of Austin/Cena
Team WWE vs. Team NFL? That won't end well...

Austin/Cena? Team NFL?
What?

Austin? That seems pretty random.
The NFL thing I can believe since WM usually always has some sort of mainstream gimmicky match.

Taker/HHH would put on an awesome match. I would rather it be Shawn, but still.
Cena/Austin is truly an iconic match.
Jeff/Edge would be a great title bout.
Batista/Orton wouldn't be half bad.
Team NFL vs. Team WWE? Please let that not happen.

I am gonna hold off on judging the Team NFL idea, since Show vs. Mayweather was entertaining as well as Lawrence Taylor vs. Bam Bam. If they grab some good athletes and give them a few months to train for a multi-man tag match, it could be decent.

Leaves the path clear for HBK/Morrison.

I can't see that happening. I like it all though, apart from the NFL bit.

Let me guess...MITB featuring Jericho and Punk?

Leaves the path clear for HBK/Morrison. Actually I would dig Morrison and HBK as two MITB entrants, with them being the last two guys at the end. Morrison barely escapes with MITB. Then they could have a match at Backlash, perhaps with MITB on the line. Morrison goes over then moves to Smackdown to challenge Jeff Hardy, who he has had great matches with before.

Sounds like a sold half a card outside of this NFL thing...
Also, Taker should face HBK after they eliminate each other from the 2009 Royal Rumble.

It looked to me as though they were building toward HBK/Taker and Cena/Batista. Interesting card, though. The NFL involvement has entertaining train wreck written all over it, and Cena/Austin would be money (not as much money as Austin/Jericho though).

It'll be 80/20 for Austin, Cena should at least play subtle heel.
