Why don't we list some of the custom teams and stables we might make in the game? Try to come up with some creative names. Sounds like fun. This assumes we can make stables and teams, which is most likely since they have the Hart Foundation and Jimmy Hart and Heenan and his 'family' members and this has been a part of the SD games since the PS1.

www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=73451Not sure how I feel about that. Having 51 more wrestlers is cool but I'd rather have 51 more legends (a guy can dream can't he). This may be the only legends game we ever get. I have all of the Smackdown games and I'm kind of sick of playing as or against most of these guys. Edit: I guess the managers aren't playable since they don't have movesets. No mention of unlockables either.

The best I can come up with is something like Total Annihilation or Complete Devestation. How about "Megatons"?

Well, if it were Yoko's cousin Rikishi and Earthquake's alter-ego Golga teaming up I would go with 'Two Tons of Fun.'

I Why nitpick when you can just enjoy what we DO have? We have a game that features a lot of guys that we enjoyed watching as we grew up or for those that might have watched on DVD years later. Smile, you'll live longer. Thank you Bobby Mcferrin.

That would only work if it was Sexual Chocolate and the World's Largest Love Machine and you could import Mark Henry's Sexual Chocolate music: "It's sexual baby, Ohhhhh!"

So who is everyone actually going to import from SD vs. Raw that actually would fit on this game...the only two people I can remotely think of is Jericho in his alternate attitude costume and Vince McMahon...If we had masked Kane in sd vs raw id say him as well but alas we dont...

I'm not a huge gamer and I still treat every game like I'm playing Atari basically.
I am very excited about this, and the way I see it, they wanna make a good impression with the first one, but they can't give everything away with this.
If it sells well, they'll make another with more wrestlers and a few other improvements, but it won't be perfect.
My hope is, this becomes a full fledged series like Smackdown.
BTW, I haven't followed this super close, so can anyone tell me how many CAWS are available on the game, or point me to a FAQ?

I like it. I might use that or one of the two I was leaning toward.

From looking at the description of the strategy guide, I'd say there will be no hidden wrestlers as it states "complete move lists for all 38 WWE Legends".
Also as far as this being the same CAW as SD vs RAW....you seemingly can't create females, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if you couldn't edit themes of existing legends or use custom themes...

Well, there is that photo of Don Muraco, though I suppose it is possible he was removed at the last minute. They do usually reveal the hidden/unlockable wrestlers before the game is released. In the past with PS2 games we had the ability to hack the game to put back in the removed wrestler (and the non-playables characters).
I think there actually a few unlockable wrestlers that THQ will reveal closer to the release of the game and obviously I would say that Muraco is one of them.

I hope you're right but I got a feeling Muraco was removed if he was ever in, or maybe there are characters in the game that you cannot control that pop up as opponents or something. That'd be lame though.

That has happened too. Jerry Lawler showed up in career mode in one of the SD! games as your tag partner. You couldn't control him. Lawler could be hacked into the ps2 games to be a playable.
Another example is Billy Gunn and Big Show showing up in the second ps1 game when you played Royal Rumble mode (you could hack them into the game if memory serves or at least hack the ability to select them to be in the Rumble). I think them coming out randomly in the Rumble was an unintended glitch by THQ that they forgot to take out.
Edit: I checked to make sure I was remembering correctly and I believe Billy Gunn was an unlockable, but Big Show and Ken Shamrock were the removed wrestlers who randomly showed up in the Rumble.

Yep I was thinking of Lawler in my last post.
I could see guys like Muraco being auto-CPU controlled opponents in a WM IV title tournament....but it'd be sad to include people you can't play as, with the roster as small as it is.

BTW, I believe Lawler was not allowed to be playable because he signed a deal with Acclaim for their games in that time in 2001 when he quit WWF over his then-wife the Kat being fired. Apparently his voice and image were okay to use, but he couldn't be playable as a wrestler.

Maybe the brief preview of the guide just said that as to not spoil anything?
