So I was checking out the official site, and noticed a couple of things about finishers:
Arn Anderson has a BrainBuster as a finisher instead of a Spinebuster. Undertaker has the Last Ride as a finisher (which is post WM 15), along with the chokeslam and Tombstone. Bobby Heenan has something called "Brain Power" as a finisher.
Any thoughts on this stuff?

It doesn't really matter since we can edit movesets...I think? Taker has the Last Ride? Interesting, could this mean Biker Taker is his alternate attire?

Here are my thoughts about it:
Taker should really have Tombstone and choke slam, but I'd assume we can fix that with editing the set. Taker didn't use the Last Ride until he debuted the American Badass character.
Anderson's finishers should really be the spinebuster and the DDT. In fact, I will probably remove the brainbuster from his moveset completely. I believe that Ole Anderson and/or Tully Blanchard used the brainbuster as a finish in the mid 1980s for NWA before Arn and Tully ended up in WWF. I guess THQ confused his tag team name with his finisher.
I am afraid we won't be able to assign a spinebuster as a counter to a charging opponent as his finisher. I was hoping there would be a special animation where Arn whips them into the ropes and then catches them with the spinebuster (all as one move) for his finisher.

That site also lists Rick Rude's finisher as a "Swinging Neckbreaker"

I have a funny feeling that if this game was coming out later this year, Macho Man would be in, seeing as now they're making the DVD.

Hopefully that means they're gonna make Macho Man a downloadable add on character. I hate to be nit-picky cause I'm buying this game regardless, but I want Savage in this thing so bad. I wanna use the Mega-Powers as a tag team and take on the world.

"One of the reasons I have overlooked a lot of the recent WWE and WCW releases was that I just don't care about the wrestlers" What planet does this guy live on where there still releasing WCW games?

Even though the Bossman in the game looks more like the leaner, babyface Bossman of the early 1990s, I would have loved for Akeem and Slick to be included so that I could use the Twin Towers to squash some people.

I wonder what the "more modes that are yet to be revealed" are. I wish they would just give us an open ended generic type season mode like in HCTP and the game before that. I always wanted a season mode that has a Sims type relationship meter with the other wrestlers. This could determine if they would agree to be your partner or save you from a beatdown kind of thing. I also like to see your popularity go up or down based on your actions (not just wins and losses) depending on if your a face or heel.

Raw 2 on the original Xbox tried something like that where your wrestler had four friends and four enemies and the more you interacted with them in a positive or negative way, it would change... but it sucked.

I know what they're doing. They're figuring mainly older fans will buy this and us old farts don't know how to play those new fangled video games, so they don't have to bother with pesky things like programming.

Meh. I'm not excited about this game anymore. I'm gonna have to take a pass.

4 front grapple moves is not acceptable. 8 isnt even acceptable. This is 2009 not 1989.
