I hope Shane goes away for a long time now. I used to mark for the guy, but in this latest run, its painfully obvious that age has caught up with him. Yeah, he still does the odd insane bump, but every time I see him getting the better of established wrestlers, its just sad.

Shane beating up Legacy is like me owning Cody in a fight...

This is a big part of why I think the ratings for WWE are declining. When they were up, Randy was being booked like a bada--, and right when him and the rest of Legacy were booked as chumps the ratings started to unravel.
Fact is, NO ONE wants to see Shane beat up three men. My roommate and I laugh at Shane's punches and how dumb it looks, and we are actually fans. Just imagine how lame this looks to the casual audiences the WWE is trying to pull in.
Why in the world push the owners son as a wrestler? He has some great high spots, but shouldn't he be booked as the underdog needing HHH/Batista's help and not vice versa?
I liked what the WWE is currently doing with the new rosters, but they have probably killed all the momentum and popularity that Orton was gaining. In my eyes, Edge and even Jericho have jumped ahead of him as the top heels. Edge is always fun and Jericho is at least wrestling guys and winning believably without run ins.

Orton's popularity was on a decline even before wrestlemania when Trips started to be getting the better of him. To a certain extent, but we were at least getting some fun skits like HHH chasing Legacy and such. Fans seemed into it, although even I'll admit it lost alot of steam as it went on and on. Orton jobbing at WM essentially killed all the momentum WWE was building. Now when Shane got into the ring with Legacy, you could almost hear crickets. When your biggest heel looks like he can't even beat Shane with his two groupies it doesn't bode well. To me this is when Legacy began losing its cred and Orton fell behind Edge and Jericho. HHH put in the nail in the coffin at WM.

Legacy lost all momentum when the booking going into WM said that they couldn't hold their own against Triple H when his partners were Vince and Shane...
And yes Shane's "I watch MMA" offense is truly one of the most hilarious things in the company. But a huge problem is there are WWE fans that like the McMahons...I don't know why.

Shane is fighting, with his fists, not using wrestling moves to beat them.
I think it's clever, everyone knows that Shane would be destroyed in a wrestling match hence the reason his matches break down to a brawl, if someone punches you no matter what you go to hit them back, not use a wrestling move on them.

I don't think anyone buys that in a real fight Shane McMahon could punch those guys and not get his ass beaten.

They are booking Orton into the ground with this shit...I don't understand why WWE can't have a successful heel champ....honestly, for the first time ever, I can say TNA is out-booking WWE, Main Event wise.

I think this is fitting: This has been my gripe against Shane McMahon since 2003. By owning guys like Kane and Legacy, he makes all the real wrestlers who lose to those guys look weaker than hell.

Super Shane is el terrible. Shane got his revenge a while ago--I'm not seeing the point of him owning Legacy every week now.
Hopefully, though, this will keep him off TV for the time being--that is until he decides he wants to main event again. It must be nice not working a full-time schedule and being in the main event at will.
BTW, I've never liked Shane in the ring--not with X-Pac, not with Test, not with Angle, not with Blackman, not with Big Show, not ever. His only purpose should be as a slimy heel that gets his ass kicked when it serves the show.

It seems WWE are terrified that Orton will become too popular as a heel, but so what? If fans wanna cheer him like Austin was they can't really stop fans from cheering him. No matter what WWE try fans will want to support him even if he punted every single fans granny.

Reminds me of when DX reunited. A co-worker of mine talked to me about how her visiting brother had managed to fill most of her Xbox with wrestling clips. She described some to me (not knowing that I was a wrestling fan) and couldn't quite see the point of two wrestlers beating down some middle-aged guy in a suit and his 60 year old father. "Yeah, of course they'll win in a fight, what's the point?" Wasn't Vince degrading Shawn and his religion for like two months before DX got together for revenge?

Just imagine how lame this looks to the casual audiences the WWE is trying to pull in. I want to see it. At least if that's what it takes to see Orton beaten. I hate heels ans them having even the slightest bit of success. For all the people talking about Shane used to run from X-Pac and Shane's older now, that means he's had time to learn. Here's the deal with Shane and how to look at his matches. His early matches were ego. Now he only wrestles if he hates someone. That hate is his fuel. He will take any step necessary to hurt someone he hates. It fuels his adrenaline, giving him a reason to get up even when he's being beaten. He has a tremendous pain threshold. If you wrestle Shane to wear him down with punches and holds he will wear you down. That just happens to be what Ted and Cody do. You hit him with constant high impact. Throws and slams, into things if possible, weapons, whatever your "five moves of doom" THat's how they tend to play out so that's how I look at it.

That was just bad. Any angle which involves the Mcmahon today do seem to be hated. I never understood why they are booked to look so strong and always fighting main eventers.

Does anyone else see Shane McMahon being WWE Champion by the end of the year? I don't want it to happen, I've just got an inevitable feeling that it will. Yes and it will be awesome.
