This is one of the most literal answers to "things you wish you hadn't seen/happened", because in the long run, most of the other instances that people are citing, did not lead to a premature death of a man in his early 30s.

Sorry I don't know the wrestlers' names. I just saw this on youtube. A masked guy taking a Styles Clash had his head tilted forward so when he got pancaked, he landed on the back of his head with his neck bent double. If he isn't paralyzed today, it's a miracle.
At the NWA 55th Anniversary show, multiple -time light heavyweight champ Rocky Reynolds did a swanton from a ladder out to the floor. The ladder kicked out from under him and he landed straight down, right on top of his head on the concrete. I thought he might be dead, but miraculously, he just needed a lot of staples in his head. If he'd been a pencil-necked geek like me, it would have been much, much worse.

The Danbury Fall. For those who don't know, this occured at ECW Living Dangerously 2000, New Jack vs Grimes. Both men had climbed up a scaffold and Grimes was very uncomfortable up there, deciding against taking the bump. Jack grabs Grimes anyway, jumps off and Grimes gets frontflipped on top of New Jack's head from about 20 or 30 feet.
This is what led to Jack trying to kill Grimes in XPW.

Owen Hart piledriving Steve Austin at Summerslam 1997, breaking Austin's neck and, in the long run, forcing his retirement. This event is extremely ironic. Have to also agree with Sid's leg break. I felt ill the first time I saw that one. Does anybody here have Firefox 3? I can't seem to see videos on Wrestling Gone Wrong anymore, though I can hear the sound.

Yeah, after watching the XPW fall, I REFUSE to ever watch the Danbury fall. I thought I could take watching Grimes's huge drop, but after seeing that, I can't take watching that happen to anyone else, especially not two people at the same time. It's just more proof that Scaffold matches are stupid and dangerous. And I also agree with whoever said people should stop using light tubes. Too many things can go wrong, and what's more important, all of these promotions that use light tubes on a regular basis miss the entire point of using weapons. The best use of light tubes I've ever seen was Vampiro getting powerbombed into them on WSX, because nobody saw that coming. If you use dangerous weapons like this on a regular basis they lose their shock value. Also, not technically a botch, but has anyone seen Nick Mondo get hit with that weedeater? That was.....*vomits* EDIT: Heh heh, I found it . At 2:10 Really this whole video is an example of everything that is wrong with wrestling these days.

The only thing that topped Sid's leg break for me was watching Vader shove his eyeball back into his face. *shudders*

Sid's leg break sat itself right next to Theismans leg break in things I saw over and over.
I remember Tony Schiavone warning us that the content in the Sid injury clip was graphic. Him saying that didn't help cause then I was tempted to watch it. Course I did. YUCK.

If you use dangerous weapons like this on a regular basis they lose their shock value. I was the one who said that light tubes shouldn't be used in wrestling matches. CZW is actually my favourite contemporary wrestling promotion, but I completely agree with your reasons (quoted above). Two things I wish to never again see in a wrestling match: Light tubes Scaffolds I'm also not keen on other stupid s*** like barbed wire, but at least the harm of barbed wire seems a lot easier for wrestlers to control and minimize than broken light tubes.

cant belive no ones mentioned Moose yet, that was tough to watch What's Moose? I think he's talking about a female wrestler who worked for TNA and other indy promotions. She broke her femur recently I think.
