I really think they are gonna lose a lot of talent in the coming months. They haven't been on solid ground despite the influx of huge names, now their owner is bringing in two men who had a big hand in turning one of the biggest organizations in the history of the sport to the punch line of a joke. Except one is not in the company, and is using his company in partnership with them, and the other one might not even be wrestling when he shows up. I go to PWspyware and TNA's ad says "How will Hulk Hogan's partnership with TNA president Dixie Carter affect the future of wrestling? TNA Impact Thursdays 9pm" Really TNA?

OK... I am going to go ahead and rant here.
#1... Dixie Carter was brought on six years ago to be the president of TNA, BUT she was not brought on to make the day to day decisions when it comes to all of the talent that TNA has... well, that is NOT what her forte is... and to back this claim, I present this.
a.) She was brought on to TNA to act as an advertising expert, and that is her true forte. It was when the first backer hit money trouble that Panda Energy stepped in and bought 71% of the company.
Panda Energy is owned by Dixie's Parents.
b.) Dixie Carter expressed interest and a liking for Johnny Fairplay as a manager for TNA.
c.) She has had quite a bit of input in story lines and appearance of TNA, however, many of those story lines have been terrible, such as the Frontline vs Main event Mafia.
d.) Other publicity stunts have included Danny Bonnaduce vs Eric Young at Lockdown... the Stacker 2 logo feces all over the mat... and most likely will not end there.
Pac Man Jones, Dustin Diamond, Dennis Rodman, Frank Wycheck, and Kyle Vandenbush... yeah, great selection of MAINSTREAM celebs.
e.) Yes she brought on Hogan, but she also brought on Kurt Angle...
Now lets compare and contrast those two things, Angle will put over the other talents, can work like few others, is in really good shape (neck issues aside, lets face it, he is fine with the wrestling... the IWC has a way of distorting that) and most importantly... Angle is still not anywhere near as main stream as Hogan, so if he goes on a nut and gets arrested for issues with his girlfriend or wife, it will not make anywhere the amount of waves the Hogan Circus would.
Hogan on the other hand does bring a major name to the table, and while this will provide major exposure, and press... will that really give them more in the way of ratings?
Hogan has stated many times that he is looking to climb back into the ring... this will not sit well with many fans as Hogan is now 15 years past his prime, and well... I would love to see Nigel lariat Hogan out of his boots... I would rather see Hogan in a backstage role helping talent with insight on how to market themselves and the company over all.
But I digress here.
#2 Dixie did nothing more than show to the world that she is a spoiled brat whose mommy and daddy bought her a great big toy, and she won't take any guff from anyone regardless if they know what they are talking about.
#3 Sure there has been a focus on the younger guys lately, but at the same time... how long will that last before Hogan/Bischoff undoes that?
And as much as I hate to say it, unless Dixie brings in someone like Heyman, you can pretty much guess that the company will start to look more and more like WCW did in the late 1990's.
While I hope that I am wrong about the direction of TNA, I can say that Dixie did nothing more than prove the weaknesses she has as a leader, and a wrestling promoter.
With the way that this business is going, I am pretty much of the opinion that you need to listen to your roster, and not to the life long politicians that will do nothing but destroy your locker room.
Booker T being gone is a good start... Steiner should go next, and then leave Nash at home unless you need someone to be a money pit.
But the biggest thing that rubs me the wrong way was the whole "you better support me 100%" crap... last time I checked, businesses that listened to their employees, and had other people with experience that could give you a better perspective on what it is that you might be doing wrong... you know, to help GROW the business, prospered.
The others went the way of the AWA.
Verne Gange was a my way or the highway type... just ask Hogan.
And we see where that got them.

my 0,02$: if Hogan WILL get creative control/booking power, it will be a huge mistake - WE ALL KNOW HE DOESN'T DO ANY OF THIS TO HELP TNA, HE DOES EVERYTHING TO FILL HIS OWN POCKETS! if Hogan will get an on-air role incl. creative control (over his character) and will be actually wrestling, it will be half-good (generating interest for his few matches at the PPV's), half-bad (taking the spotlight away from the ones that need it, Desmond, AJ, Joe) if Hogan will get an on-air role WITHOUT creative control (hard to believe) and without wrestling, and won't hog too much of the spotlight, everything will be fine...but after Dixie's speech, I don't see this happening...he will have SOMETHING TO SAY

According to several people who worked for him, yes he would. He might still want to do things his way, but he always listened. Or so guys like Mick Foley, JJ Dillon, and others said. Not that I think anyone's going to WWE. Just wanted to point that out.

I will say she comes across less like a visionary leader, and more a scolding schoolmarm in her speech.

On second thought, maybe she's been hanging around Russo too long and this is a type of swerve. She's trying to get guys to quit so she can bring in other guys. There's only so many spots and there's a lot of free agents supposedly coming to TNA, hell there's a thread started everytime WWE releases someone ;-), so how else is she gonna get rid of them? I bet next week there will be another meeting:
Dixie: Seriously guys, if you hate it here so much, you can just leave. There's the door right there *points* Come on......I know someone here wants to go.
*Lashley stands up*
Dixie: You're just stretching, right Bobby?
*Lashley points at nothing in particular and sits back down*
Dixie: Okay seriously now, if someone's gonna leave, then do it now.
*Homicide stands up*
Dixie: Ahh see, Homicide is quitting. I knew it.
Homicide: Whatchu talkin bout, snowflake? I'm goin to get some water.
Tara: Can we go yet?
Dixie: NO! We're not leaving until someone quits!
Eric Young: I just thought you should know that I was just offered a job with better pay, better benefits and a better title at WWE.
Dixie: Fantastic!
EY: And I turned it down.
Dixie: What?! That would've solved all my problems.
EY: Out of loyalty to this company...
Dixie: Oh, you idiot.

Dixie Carter: Once we collect enough money to compete with WWE, our leader will throw open the doors of the forbidden locker room where we will all board our intergalactic vehicle-- rows one through 30 first. Upon our arrival, we will begin our new, perfect lives on Blisstonia, well-known for its high levels of bliss. Eric Young: Hey, I don't know about you, but she's not exactly winning me over with this lousy rallying cry here. I'm gonna slip out. [stands up, spotlight is shone on him] Dixie Carter: Uh, you're free to leave whenever you want, but would you mind telling me why? Eric Young: Oh, I just didn't, uh-- I didn't think, um-- Oh, it's-- it's pretty good.

Just a real question about the Max Exidous way of thinking. How many of those guys sitting there are going to walk out and be in a better position then they are now? How many would the WWE even take, maybe the Top 10%.

That's like something off the Simpsons but I'm not sure exactly what. The episode where Homer joins a cult. Dixie really should've tried to rally them all by going, "Na na na na na na HULKSTER". It would've woken them all up.

Just a real question about the Max Exidous way of thinking. How many of those guys sitting there are going to walk out and be in a better position then they are now? How many would the WWE even take, maybe the Top 10%. Except your doubting Vince's ability to be petty. I could see him signing half the x-division at once to let them sit in FCW for a while with no idea what to do with them. Also some of them like Joe, the MCMG, AJ, the Dudleys, Homicide and Hernandez and maybe a few more could make similar money that they make now working a few circuits a year in Japan and Europe and hand picking their dates in America, Canada and Mexico. Dixie may be the boss but she is not the reason most of those guy are there. Many of them went there when it was just Jeff and Jerry's company. A number more came in off of recommendations of their friends in the company or were scouted by talent working indy dates. So yes she signs the checks but when the people that got you your job are treated like crap and tossed to the curb it can tend to make you nervous and question your future there. If she were a smart boss she would try to remove those doubts so the ship can sail smooth. Instead she basically said this ship will sail smooth and if you doubt me get off.

Gerweck just posted this: - At least five wrestlers including Homicide and Kazarian have asked for their releases in recent weeks and all of them were denied.
Rather funny considering Dixie's speech.

So the comments that were more or less "ride or die" from Dixie were legit, huh? I'm sorry, but the whole "with me absolutely or get out" thing will definitely alienate people. Agreed. I've heard speeches like that at work myself...they just tend to make you angrier and more disillusioned. It basically means that the higher ups will do what they want and aren't interested in your needs or concerns.

I think it's recockulous that they aired that. And, seriously, that "My way or the highway" message is terrible for morale and for the company. Every company needs some level of internal constructive criticism to help it grow.
I can understand her saying "if you're gonna do nothing but bitch, then we don't wanna hear it" but if someone has an idea of how something could be tweeked for the better then they should be encouraged to speak up, they shouldn't be afraid too
