1. TNA.
2. I dunno, maybe an outside influence like something heavy falling over or the lighting going out or AJ letting rip with a massive fart or something.

To me it looked like your a-standard office meeting. And I was thinking while I was watching it is "Where's Michael Scott? He needs to learn from Dixie Carter!" I think you got it backwards Dixie need to learn from Micheal Scott. If she had rapped the whole address calling it "lazy Orlando" it would have been a win. Or entered the meeting wearing 80's workout gear and dancing to "let's get physical ethical" people might not have looked like they wished a meteor would fall from the sky and hit the impact zone.

Real or staged, it makes TNA look bad.
ECW- whether they were attracting a lot of fans or just a handful of fans, always talked like they were number one, they were the place to be. Heyman always appreciated the boys in the locker room and treated me like family. Not like bad children.
This is a slap in the face to kayfabe. It's like telling people "Here's a fake wrestling production. Nothing you are about to see is real, it is all forced and manipulated by this management team. We're number two but hey, we're trying." Why does that make me, as a fan, want to tune in?

It's cool that she adressed everybody, but i don't think it was the best way to start off the show, or even be on the show at all. agreed really there wasn't a point of airing that

AJ should have printed and passed out Buzzword Bingo cards.
Dixie: After seven years, it's time for TNA to swing for the fences Bashir: BINGO!

Sort of, but I'm thinking more of Taz constantly breaking in with his familiarity with Extreme Bingo, and Hogan getting an airlift kinda harnass system for leg drops. Oh, and the debate on whether Amazing Red qualifies as Gem Mint Ten with all his injuries.

I like TNA, but they aren't ready to swing for the fences yet. Heyman had it right. He had pasion and was believable. Dixie... not so much. I'm sorry, but a woman can't run a wrestling company. That last line is a ridiculous and sexist line of thought. Have you ever hung around wrestlers before? I have and they have NO respect for women. I'm not saying that's a good thing, b/c it isn't. It's just the way it is.

I don't if anyone else has listened to it yet, but on this weeks Cornette's Corner, Jim Cornette basically blames Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara for Dixie Carter's address to the roster and it being aired on TV. You can listen to the whole segment here. whosslammingwho.podomatic.com/

It's 2009 and you can find out almost anything about a wrestler on the internet there's no need to say that stuff doesn't exist when it clearly does. But that's just how I feel.

IT'S STILL REAL TO ME, DAMMIT. No, seriously, despite knowing the reality of it all, we like to immerse ourselves in the action, the storylines, and what have you. It's a slap in the face of that fourth wall wrestling calls kayfabe because people like us know it exists, and it's terrible to think we don't understand that concept. THINK.

Jim Cornette absolutely ripped on the address, saying that it made the wrestlers look terrible and "neutered" by having a woman lecture them like that.
He also said that Russo and Ferrara put her up to it.

His point was that the wrestlers are supposed to be going out and engaging in brutal battles and shedding their blood, and that it is ruining that image by having them looking like "whipped puppies" and being lectured by a middle-aged woman. I don't entirely agree with his point - he also said the company would be dead in 1-2 years - but I can see where he is coming from.
