Just a question, when was the last WM rematch? Last one I can think of was Rock/Austin XIX

HHH vs. Orton may not count as a "WrestleMania rematch", but they did have HHH vs. Cena vs. Orton the year before and the two guys have had a countless number of matches in recent history before WM 25.

Taker. I just can't see the logic behind giving the streak to HBK. I think he will take some time off, and then return as a surprise entrant in the Rumble 2011. That's if he comes back at all.

If Shawn retires, I will cry, but I can't root against The Undertaker. WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?!?!?!?! The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels have been my 2 favorites respectively, since I was 12 years old. With that said, in my opinion, Undertaker's streak means more than Shawn's career. Shawn has done everything, he can retire now, in my eyes. If Undertaker loses, what will that accomplish? And what does it say if HBK ends the streak this year, but couldn't do it last year? How come Kane couldn't do it in 1998 or 2004? Besides, if anyone WOULD, or should end the streak, I'd think it better be somebody who'd deserve to. Shawn, while great, does not need this. He can retire, and do like every other wrestler in history does: come back to wrestling in a few months/years.

I really don't want to see HBK lose, but yet I know they won't end the streak. I'm really divided, actually.
I think HBK retiring is almost like the reality that I'm getting older smacking me in the face. He's been around in some fashion (even if its just rumors of his return) since I was like...2. I'd be sad to see him go.
That said - the hype video for this match is the best WWE's ever done. Ever. It's taken the title away from Rock/Austin. It was eventually going to happen.

I am a fan of both men.
I can't stand "the streak". The outcomes are predetermined- streaks don't matter. It would be like an actor bragging about the clever lines someone else writes for them. I just don't get it.
And I don't want HBK to retire.
Bottom line- rooting for HBK but almost positive he's losing again.

ending takers streak?
or..
beating the man who ended Ric Flairs career and also ended undertaker streak...

I'm thinking that maybe, just maybe, they've finally realized that Undertaker's streak has no reason to exist. I'm pulling for Michaels.

The Michaels vs Taker rematch is a perfect example of how to make something mean the world. I however didn't like how they injected Michaels retirement as being on the line in this storyline.
It should just be Taker vs Michaels straight up. I think by putting Michaels career on the line makes it obvious that Taker is going to win this match. Taker is going to win and Michaels is going to be off TV for 8 months (Yeah I know some retirement).
Its a minor complaint about the angle which I think is the Main Event and its still not a lock for Taker to win (Although if I was a betting man I would bet on Taker) I just think having Michaels retire and then come back is going to kind of cheapen the angle.
But that match is going to be the only thing on the card that is going to really be properly built up. Changing both titles the PPV before Wrestlemania wasn't a good booking decision. I understand wanting to get the belt off of Taker in order set up the Michaels rematch but why give Shamus the title if you are going to undercut him the month before the big show.
I think that both title matches are undervalued because there isn't much set up. Jericho vs Edge is a nice match but I just don't know if it is a Mania title match. As far as Batista and Cena match it really shouldn't be a title match just have Bret Hart be at the center of the match.
I feel like the rest of the card outside of Taker Michaels feels very rushed even thought I like some of the matchups as far as pure wrestling goes. And the fact that Bret Hart means nothing is a blown opportunity to have an angle mean something big.

except the Hart angle isn't blown.
and how can adding more weight to a match (michaels' career) cheapen it? I don't follow. Also why would taker accept the match, putting his streak on the line again purely for michaels satisfaction, if he can't gain anything by it?

Taker's got to win. In the storyline HBK does need to get his comeuppance. He's attacked refs, turned his back on Trips, his obsession cost DX the tag titles, he kicked Teddy Long, and cost Taker the title. Taker will win, and should win from a storyline standpoint.
As for who should end the streak, if it ever ends, my number 1 choice is the same guy who I wanted to end Flair's career. And that would be Randy Orton.
