Well, let's look at a list of potential guys they could use, who were in WWE that have been released over the past couple of years that could be avaliable. Carlito Lance Cade Jimmy Yang Steve Lewington/DJ Gabriel Ray Gordy Mike Knox Shelton Benjiman Mickie James Paul Burchill Eric Perez/Eric Escobar Katie Lea Burchill Maria Kaneillis Charlie Haas Sim Snuka/Deuce Sinn Bowdee/Kizarny Bob Holly Snitsky Jay Bradley/Ryan Braddock James Curtis/KC James Shawn Spears/Gavin Spears Paul London Super Crazy Manu Domino Sean Morely Scotty 2 Hotty Trevor Murdock Nick Dinsmore Ricky Ortiz (I heard he's in Puerto Rico gaining more experience) The Highlanders (last year I saw this indy show featuring Robbie MacAllister, and he was really good so they'd be people to pick up) TNA: Roxxi ODB Scott Hall Consequences Creed Sean Morely Scott Steiner Kip James Cody Deaner Awesome Kong Alissa Flash/Cheerleader Melissa Sojourner Bolt/Josie Petey Williams Sonjay Dutt Johnny Devine Jimmy Rave BG James And of course, the ROH roster: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Ring_of_Honor_employeesAnd some recently released talent, or talent not used as much: Jimmy Jacobs Brodie Lee Jack Evans Teddy Hart Larry Sweeny Alex Kozlov (correct me if I'm wrong) Tank Toland Jigsaw Ruckus Matt Cross If they pluck a bunch of people from there, and of course, plenty of up and coming potential indy names. So, who would you pick for a roster?

The only things I'm not liking are signings of guys like Vader, Scorpio or X-Pac. Hopefully, they'll be there for the first few shows, but not the main guys for the company. Other than that, it souds good. They have a financial backer who has a good amount of money, and are looking to bring wrestling back to what it should be. I hope this works out for everyone involved.

Before I read this topic I was playing EWR 1996 scenario. This is like a fantasy fed popping in between an EWR game. So whats the name of the fed, Rings of Fire, Crash Course Combat, Smoky Mountain Wrestling Rebirth, 21st Century Wrestling, World Level Wrestling, Narf Point Wrestling...whats it gonna be!

Easily the most important part of this is the mention of the benefits packages. If even one wrestling promotion out there decides to treat its workers like employees rather than, ah, "independent contractors", let's hope they're at least a moderate success, enough to pressure the big leagues into instituting something similar.

This could really be huge, if they can get a TV deal in the future it would do wonders for wrestling fans. Somebody mentioned earlier that there is a possibility of competition and its great. Wrestling was great during the late 90s because there was great competition between the WWF and WCW and wrestling fans were more into the product because of the jump-ships from WWF to WCW and vice versa.

Come on guys, two pages and nobody but me has realized that Booker T could go there?
SIGN THIS MAN!
Or maybe I'm just too big of a Bookah mark.

Totally. This new company is doing everything I'd do if I had the means to start a new National wrestling promotion. I would've just waited till maybe TNA and/or ROH folded cause it's slim pickings out there as far as talent goes for an incoming "Number 4" promotion. Y'know, my favorite promotion is PWG but, even then, half their roster is either contracted to ROH or TNA. If they went National, it wouldn't work.

I'm really excited about this. The talent is certainly out there to build a good roster. If I was running it, I'd go after Booker, Shelton, Burchill, Haas, Yang, London, Knox, and Carlito out of the former WWE crowd. I'd also go after 2-3 Japanese guys, a few Luchadors, some other international talent, and top indy talent not already committed somewhere else. There is certainly potential to do this.

There is huge potential, I just wish we knew more at this point.
This could wind up just being a big time indy fed, but an indy fed with major finances can turn into a national promotion very quickly.

Certainly agreed, though as a huge Mets fan I'm interested to hear the name "Milton Wilpon", especially since I've never heard that name in my life, and can't find any references to it on the internet beyond unrelated stuff.

Just wondering, why a startup and not get behind a product that is established? Seems like it would be a safer bet to invest in an ROH, Chikara or a CZW with a built in base and wrestlers (provided they were willing to take it of course).
Either way, another place for guys and gals to work and for me to watch isn't a bad thing.

If i had the money i would rather try to buy and build up Ring of Honor or another big Indy promotion. They're estabilshed, have the talents, the name, everything. It would be easier to start from there than to start from scratch. Maybe it's the ego, it does sound better to say "i created everything" than "i bought them and invested tons of money". It certainly does sound interesting. Health benefits and everything would be great, especially for some of the wrestlers they signed (Yeah, i mean Sabu and Waltman) and the thing about non-scripted stuff is great. Give the wrestlers more freedom, if everything works out if would be like 80's WWF. I'd love it and even if not, i can't be worse than TNA (That's unpossible ;D )

We'll see how it pans out, but this almost smacks of a repeat of MLW, and look how that turned out.
Although if it is owned by a member of the Wilpon family, then there is a good chance it could end up on SNY, which would be a huge step in the right direction for them.
