^^^ PWG is based in California, as was XPW. You also get AAA and CMLL on the Spanish channels depending where you live. Those were in LA, though. I wish one would start out of the Bay Area. There's plenty of indies out here, they just all suck.

Nice! I love this idea. Personally, I would sign: Bryan Danielson Kid Kash Amazing Kong Bob Holly John Heidenreich Gene Snitsky Alissa Flash/Cheerleader Melissa Prince Nana Austin Aries SID Giant Bernard Carlito Paul London Shelton Benjamin Jimmy Yang/Akio/whateverhisnameis Billy Kidman (if he's not retired) Sara Del Rey LuFisto Mustafa Saeed New Jack Mike Knox And that's just off the top of my head. There are actually a lot of awesome indie talent and free agents right now. Well Kidman is retired he a trainer for FCW in the WWE devolopmental. Mustafa Saeed and New Jack? I haven't seem Mustafa is ages and New Jack hasn't been active at all. Plus New Jack is is semi retired and it to unstable to put on TV. Unless they want a hardcore devision that all they be good for anyway. Austin Aries is in ROH as a MEer. He may have a signed deal with them, the same goes for Prince Nana having a possible ROH deal. But the thing is they may have more money and the benfits could be a deal breaker to get people to jump. Because most wrestlers don't have anything like that. So looking into who got what kind of contract and offers.

So yeah, I'm gonna play Guest booker, pick the roster, because it's fun. 40 guys, let's get it on.
Firstly, the guys already on the roster:
Sean Waltman Vader Sabu 2 Cold Scorpio
Booker T Paul Burchill Sinn Bowdee KC James Scotty 2 Hotty Nick Dinsmore Jay Bradley Shawn Spears Scott Steiner Brad Allen Bobby Fish Jimmy Jacobs Brodie Lee Paul London Eddie Kingston Blue Demon Jr. Petey Williams Phil Shatter
Tag Teams: Ray Gordy and Slim J Haas and Benjiman The Highlanders The Osirian Portal Speed Muscle Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch YRR
Nikki Roxx Amazing Kong Cheerleader Melissa ODB
My World Champion would be Paul Burchill, he would be my heel champion. My top babyface challenger I might have be Brad Allen, I'm not sure though. Maybe Phil Shatter. Maybe Paul London. Maybe Nick Dinsmore, and build him up taking away from the Eugene character. I think I'd have to review the roster again to look for a top babyface. I know using Booker T might be obvious, but he's getting up there in age. I'd have a Florida Champion as well, and that would be Paul London. My tag champs would be Haas and Benjiman.
Oh, here's a bit more. Paul Burchill has a manager. James Mitchell. If anyone is aware of his run in OVW, where he had the imperial march entrance music, and the muzzle type mask that he wore before the match, I'd have that. Burchill doesn't talk often, Mitchell does his talking for him. Whenever he talks, it means something. He's built up as the mega top heel, until I build up a babyface. I'd love to have 45 people in there, so I could add James Mitchell, Katie Lea, Steve Lewington, Silas Young and Lufisto.

It has been reported that the Wilpon family got clobbered in the Bernie Madoff thing and have taken a second mortgage on the Mets, who themselves are losing money. It's also been reported that they are going to try rebuilding their wealth through Sportschannel NY, but it doesn't have much programming besides the Mets. This new fed may be part of a bigger strategy to diversify SNY's schedule. Speaking as a Mets fan and regular SNY viewer, here's what the current take on that situation is: The Mets, at the moment, are taking a bath because the injury-plagued season of 2009 wore a lot of fans down. They have a brand new stadium that seats about 42,000, but they're only regularly drawing 27,000 or so, and the stadium cost $800 million to build. They're improving the situation since the team is competitive this year and getting more fans back to the ballpark, but it's not there yet. SNY (SportsNet New York, for those who haven't figured out what it stands for yet ) is the channel they own a controlling stake in, and they use it to broadcast the Mets, a whole ton of Big East football and basketball games, New York Jets programming, and some original programs/typical sports talk style shows with reporters and personalities and stuff. That said, SNY runs a lot of paid advertisements (infomercials), and if they could replace that with cheap original programming that has profit potential, I suppose it could happen. Third thing: nobody in New York really knows what happened to the Wilpons with the whole Madoff thing. Some reports said they took a bath and were absolutely smoked by the scandal, other reports say they actually MADE money on the deal and had no problems at all. Nobody knows who to believe. Last issue: I still haven't found any connections between Milton Wilpon and the Wilpons who own Sterling Equities/the Mets. That doesn't mean they aren't related, but what it also means is that there's absolutely nothing there to assume that, should Milton create his own wrestling promotion, the other Wilpons would just slap it onto their regional sports channel. It doesn't seem they're in business with each other, so it's not like Milton Wilpon has anything to do with SNY.

Milton is the older cousin of Fred and is funding everything himself according to PWInsider. He is working with some people in Sterling Equities but, it is not one of their projects.

Since I'm a major random mark for this guy, this would make me very happy. What has he been up to anyway?
Only person not on your roster there who I'd like to see is Sonjay Dutt I think. I can't think of anyone else. Oh, and I suppose I'd be trying to get Mickie, Katie Lea, and Maria in for that women's Division. And PORTIA FREAKIN PEREZ. Who needs to be on TV already.
Dark City Fight Club, Alex Koslov, Mistico, Cibernetico, American Wolves, Kings of Wrestling, Joey Ryan, PAC, Kenny Omega Cutlers, CIMA, BxB Hulk, Helios, Cherry Bomb, F.I.S.T, Sara Del Ray, Ultra Mantis Black, Incoherence are indy guys that despite my lack of experience with the indies I'm interested in seeing on TV from the little I've seen, know of them. Guys that Andrew doesn't mention I mean, since he mentioned some I'd put there too [Osiran Portal].
Oh, and if they can get Domino out of WWE, a Deuce/Domino/Cherry reunion would be ideal.

The one thing that might get some big names to jump ship would be the offer of the benefits package. I see that as the only saving grace, however.

Oh, and if they can get Domino out of WWE, a Deuce/Domino/Cherry reunion would be ideal. According to Londrick, nobody wants to work with Deuce. "I don't give a f*** who your father is" "Doesn't like to bump for people" there was like a 15 minute segment of that shoot where they talk about how everyone hates that guy.

I have one other indy name to throw out there: Jason Bane. For those who have no idea who I'm talking about, he's this guy: Easily one of the best, most agile big men working today.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I only ever marked for Domino and Cherry anyway. So put Domino in solo with Cherry as valet or find a new Deuce ;D

Vader? X-Pac?! Damn- this could be bigger than curly fries!
In all seriousness though, this could have potential (although we admittedly know basically nothing about it yet.) Offering workers health insurance would be a stroke of genius when it comes to offering guys deals.

Former IPW Hardcore (and current manager) Ron Niemi apparently has a few choice words about the promotion in question. From Florida Wrestling Fans:
