It's his face at the beginning of the video that completely sold last night to me. That look of abject terror.

Don't think it's been mentioned, but I marked for the camera lingering for a moment on the cracked "WWE" letters on the broken barricade.

Justin was the only one I had a problem with them beating up, but that's because I like the guy. Everyone else was fair game. I would have rather he had done that to King.

It's his face at the beginning of the video that completely sold last night to me. That look of abject terror. It wasn't just his face, when they first grabbed him and he was like "no please no..." it felt real. Then that scream he tried to let out before Bryan legit choked him was a bit eerie. The terror he made me feel for him was so great.

The whole thing was surreal and .."real". Little subtle things that made it seem "real". Like random shrieking in the crowd.
And when Bryan was choking him..it looked legit. Oy.
I keep re-watching it.
If they continue along with breaking taboos and wreaking everything in sight, I sort-of-kind-of-fear-for-Hornswoggle.

I definitely think that attacking Justin Roberts made the whole thing ten times better, because it felt more real and more unnecessary. Poor Justin did nothing wrong to deserve it - they just wanted blood.
Unless, of course, Batista hired them to get back at Justin for the treatment the night he quit.

I've read one theory/possible spoiler elsewhere that Vinny Mac could be behind this in that, on the heels of last week's ominous warning to Bret regarding how demanding the GM position could be, he offered the NXT rookies contracts if they make Hart's role as the GM a living hell. And with all their building resentment what a way to do that by having them literally destroy the programme so Hart can be blamed for not maintaining control.

Yes the choking of Roberts made the attack more disturbing in a way that most mass heel beatdowns aren't. I don't recall the NWO attacking ring announcers (unless I'm mistaken).

I was impressed with the 8 man wrecking crew no doubt, but I was also impressed with how John Cena went toe to toe with CM Punk using a few new moves in his repoitoire. That was a good match so far that was "ruined" by an even more impressive run-in that I marked out for. It was a breath of fresh air in an otherwise stale Raw.

That was the first time i think ive "marked"in a long time, not in the sense of enjoying something wwe did because i frequently do,but in the sense of literally feeling the shock when a heel attacks someone.
I dunno fully why either. Ive seen edge as a manic evil psychopath jokeresque heel,Ive seen chris jericho throw shawn michaels through a titantron,I've seen alot of acts of heelishness that were shocking that surprised me in a way...but none like that recently. Im not saying its going anywhere or that its the best thing ever but it legitimately shocked me in a way i havent been since i was a child. I guess it was sort of the nihilism that it was done with that they destroyed literally every single thing in sight but I still cant pinpoint exactly what it was.

I thought of something, and I don't know if this has been brought up before, but wouldn't it be awesome if nobody came to rescue Cena and Punk because NXT took out EVERYBODY backstage too?

I know this gets said sometimes but if they do this right this could easily be a game changer for WWE.
I never expected WWE to do anything like this or even remotely this interesting. Let's hope they don't screw it up.

Nothing about RAW has gotten a thread to go this long in quite some time. I'm not familiar with Bryan Danielson's Indy work but he's won me over. Screaming at Cena "You're not better than me", spitting in his face, and kicking his F'ing head in was the greatest thing I've ever seen.
