That was the first time i think ive "marked"in a long time, not in the sense of enjoying something wwe did because i frequently do,but in the sense of literally feeling the shock when a heel attacks someone. I dunno fully why either. Ive seen edge as a manic evil psychopath jokeresque heel,Ive seen chris jericho throw shawn michaels through a titantron,I've seen alot of acts of heelishness that were shocking that surprised me in a way...but none like that recently. Im not saying its going anywhere or that its the best thing ever but it legitimately shocked me in a way i havent been since i was a child. I guess it was sort of the nihilism that it was done with that they destroyed literally every single thing in sight but I still cant pinpoint exactly what it was. For me it shows why PG is a good thing because when they do edgy or ballsy stuff like that it comes across as more genuinely shocking. If this had occurred back in Attitude the crowd probably would have cheered the carnage. Here we get stunned reactions as should be the case.

Watching the sequence of Bryan spitting in Cena's face and then kicking his f***ing head in. Everything is no well done now ( Tarver's gaffe notwithstanding, but he's scary too, so I'll let it slide) But Bryan fanatically screaming, then the spit, and Cena helpless to even get above his knees but still heroically trying before the boom is lowered on him with that kick. GREAT stuff from both guys.

I've read one theory/possible spoiler elsewhere that Vinny Mac could be behind this in that, on the heels of last week's ominous warning to Bret regarding how demanding the GM position could be, he offered the NXT rookies contracts if they make Hart's role as the GM a living hell. And with all their building resentment what a way to do that by having them literally destroy the programme so Hart can be blamed for not maintaining control. I seriously think you might have nailed it. Yeah it fits with the character who had his own daughter kidnapped to get back at Austin or who brought the NWO into the WWF for no other reason but to screw with Flair. Basically endangering his employees in this recent scenario means nothing to him as long as it gets to Hart.

And not just stunned reactions. We got some legit heel heat from the crowd. It wasn't overwhelming, but you can hear a steady cycle of boos between shocked silence.

Blimey another thread, this has obviously gotten people's attention, a few things that haven't been speculated:
If Cole is behind it and they did attack the Undertaker he can use the line "nobody has ever manhandled the Undertaker like this" line about himself.
This could be great for Punk's character, he can preach about how he was willing to sacrifice himself to save Cena (in both senses of the word) and the WWE. He can also preach about how they personify the problems of an addicted public lacking respect and wanting to take shortcuts to the top.
Jericho can use this to further his mid-life crisis, he used to be the young guy making an impact and now his protégé is taking over.
Matt Hardy jumping the barrier to get at Drew is going to look tame compared to this, maybe have him do it but then get followed by the nxt guys beating him down.

What if Vince is the mastermind behind this? I mean between last week's message to Bret about having to do unpopular things and this happening on what be a popular show to a popular person, maybe Vince is throwing a little adversity Bret's way?

Yeah kudos goes to Cena as well.
From his reaction to Barret walking down, to his reaction of being surrounded and the aftermath of the beating.
Cena sold it beautifully from start to finish, like, yea I am Superman...but holy s*** I'm in trouble.

Justin was the only one I had a problem with them beating up, but that's because I like the guy. Everyone else was fair game. I would have rather he had done that to King. Said it before, but since I HATE Justin Roberts that was my favorite part.

It made the whole thing seem like "Yeah they beat me up pretty badly, but don't be afraid", when in reality, the whole segment should have stayed as a scary situation, with Cena not responding AT ALL. But no.

I don't want to sound too over excited here but I... erm.... LOVED it! I was fixed to the screen. If I was going to nit pick I'd say the time between the NXT group leaving the ring and RAW going off air was too long, took away some of the impact but that's just a tiny thing that over all doesn't really matter.
Fantastic end to RAW and I'll be watching NXT as soon as possible to see if anything happens ;D

One of the things that surprises me is that out of all the Photoshop logos i've seen for this "NXT World Order", i've seen none based off of Tarver's "nXt" nWo ripoff shirt.

Who needs that when you have VersionOne's awesome take on the logo in his sig? ;D Seriously, that's really awesome. Simple yet effective.

I thought of something, and I don't know if this has been brought up before, but wouldn't it be awesome if nobody came to rescue Cena and Punk because NXT took out EVERYBODY backstage too? YES. This angle has actually made me feel sorry for Justin Roberts. The lack of commentary also made it even better.
