wrestleview.com/viewnews.php?id=1279144468Personally, I think it weakens the Nexus group as a whole if they need somebody "behind the scenes," so to speak, as if the 7 of them, united, can't accomplish anything without a major established WWE superstar. Also, Cena being behind them doesn't make a damn bit of sense, and I'm still sick to death of heel HHH. Thoughts?

If Cena's behind it all, sounds like we should have another story that states "The WWE has signed writer Vince Russo."

Cena makes no sense as the leader of Nexus.
You have to ask yourself - who is John Cena's most hated enemy?
My guess of who's leading Nexus? The odds.

I think John Cena would be an awesome swerve.
If it were John Cena Sr.

I've always thought Russo had the title of worst writer ever but if this happens and Cena is the mastermind behind them than WWE creative now holds that title. And I just now realized that Worst Writer Ever stands for WWE.

I've been saying for years that a Cena heel turn is needed to reinvigorate some bad-ass-ness back into his character, but him as the man behind Nexus makes about as much sense as Maryse dating Husky Harris ...

Triple H I would like. Because at least he wouldn't be squashing them.

Triple H I would like. Because at least he wouldn't be squashing them. HA!, but he would fit. I really wish the search thing didn't suckass for me, so I could find my post from another Nexus thread. Anyway he'd fit with Nexus as Vince would've trusted him to help him lead the Nexus. Remember Vince thought he was in charge and said he wasn't alone before he got beatdown. Also Triple H wants WWE for himself and is no longer the Golden Boy, Cena is. So his attack makes sense even though Nexus said it wasn't personal. I probably had more, but that's all I can remember from my other post. Now if Cena is the leader, they could spin it, how? I don't know right now lol

How could you POSSIBLY have Cena as the leader? Theres been too much gone both ways.
HHH hasnt worked heel since 2005 (tweener in early 2006). If he is in a non-wrestling role, then it could be good.

It's honestly been that long since Trips was heel? I dunno why it doesn't feel like it.
Honestly, though I'd love to see a Cena heel turn, this isn't the way to do it. It's just too... gratuitous, even for a Cena turn. If you're going to turn Cena, I'm not sure the Hoak Hogan Bash at the Beach method is the way to do it; a slow burn a la Punk last year seems like it would be a helluva lot more satisfying.
Going back to Triple H, I was going to post a thread that I didn't get around to postulating that Sheamus's run-in the other night could be the very tiny impetus of a face or at least tweener turn, which would make sense with an incoming heel Trips, since I can't imagine them NOT giving them a grudge match.

The person who makes the most sense at the moment if there must be a leader is Sheamus, but as stupid and nonsensical as it would be (particularly in regards to Fatal Four Way) I would mark for it being Cena.
Granted, that'd probably just turn Nexus face.

I don't want any WWE superstar to be the leader of the Nexus, but if I was forced to pick someone that had to be the leader, my choice would be Batista. Considering he was feuding with Cena when he left, and he was doing such good heel work. Of course this would require Batista coming back. which I don't expect anytime soon.

I'd be fine with HHH. He won't even have to wrestle for a while if he's still injured.
They've got to have something as 'the bigger picture', them all being part of HHH's plan to take over the WWE is better than anything else I can think of.

Honestly, based off the promo he gave last summer...Carlito would have made perfect sense.
If the audience wouldn't react to it in complete silence.

The only way I could see Cena working is if he was sacrificing himself (and the WWE title) to help Nexus weed out those would be willing to fight against them. They could always go easier on Cena than things look, after all, and could help him regain the title at Money in the Bank and in the process make him a ten-time champ.
If such a thing doesn't happen at Money in the Bank after the beatdowns on Raw and NXT to so many people, though, it won't work.

"Hey I beat the s*** out of Darren Young, JUST KIDDING!" That was punishment for putting Steamboat in the hospital. There, plausible enough of a spin attempt?

It's Triple H and Stephanie's kids getting ready for when they own the company.
