I loved Fallout 3, But my issues with "New Vegas" are the same as "Bioshock 2".
Nothing looks different and I don't want to pay £40 for what looks like an expansion pack, I'll wait till it goes into a sale.

I bought Fallout 3 day one and thought it was great. The only thing stopping me buying this day one as well is that Fallout 3 was half price within a month of it coming out so I'll happily wait a while for it to come down in price.
I agree though that there hasn't been a huge amount of hype for this one. I was surprised to learn how soon the release date was.

If I had more money, I'd get it. I really liked Fallout 3 allot, but I feel Oblivion was a better game.
Might see if I can get something for Final Fantasy XIII, Mass Effect 2, and Super Mario Galaxy.

I too pre-ordered the LE box thing.
Sure it looks more of the same as Fallout 3, But I don't think that's a bad thing. As long as it is fun to play and has a solid story.

Those are just ways of selling the game to the consumer for 60 looooong after the game's been out. (although I still want the borderlands GOTY and fallout 3 one personally).

The only Fallout3 I still see as being 60 bucks is the one that has all the expansions included on it. The original, plain jane copy is like 17.99 at Wal-Mart around here.

I am looking forward to New Vegas but I already got like 3 games coming out on the 26th of October so I'll probably rent it first.

There is no law in the wasteland. Just war. And war never changes.
Also, I need dollars to pay back the astoundingly crushing debt I am aquiring, not bottlecaps.

For some reason, no one is allowed to publish a review of New Vegas until its release date. To me that kinda sounds like Bethesda thinks (knows?) the game sucks and doesn't want anyone to find out before it's released. I hope I'm wrong, of course, as I liked Fallout 3 and New Vegas should be much better as it was made by a development studio that actually knows something about storytelling and writing dialogue.
Well, at least the US release is tomorrow, so I suppose we won't have to wait too long for the reviews to come in...

I have nothing but confidence, considering a lot of the original Fallout team is with Obsidian, and all press about it thus far has mostly consisted of praise.
The worst criticism I have heard is that it is basically more of the same...which is fine by me. I just hope the glitches are improved.

Man, can't believe it ain't been released until the 22nd over in England. I know it's only a few days later but it means I'll have to be careful during my browsing so as not to stumble upon spoilers I'm kinda glad the game is gonna be pretty much the same as Fallout 3. I mean, if it ain't broke why bother changing things? I'm glad it seems like they've gave us a new story, new characters, new setting, few new weapons etc but left the gameplay pretty much the same.

Only played an hour so far, but it is pretty much Fallout 3 with a few new mechanics on top of it.
If you played Fallout 3 you can definitely hit the ground running with the controls - I don't think anything has changed. Character creator seems to be pretty much identical as well - down to the same hair and beard selections. New skill - survival: essentially like medicine except as applied to food.
Not meaning to sound negative.... I just know it is going to suck me in. Hope my wife wasn't counting on seeing me at all for the next few weeks.
