but if certain things go a certain way tomorrow, do any of you think that the format of WWE programming will be making a change?

I think we'll see LESS PG stuff, but not necessarily the end of it.
I DO expect Vince to go emo and complain a lot if Linda loses. He does that whenever he (or his family) doesn't succeed.

I was thinking this the whole time. They can't do it right way becasue it would look bad and they do have contracts with people, but I think starting at Mania will see a return of blood in big matches (if needed), if someone is busted the hard way a match won't be stopped and the use of the word ass will be back.

I would bank on some sort of poorly thought out skit/Vince promo lambasting her opponent should Linda not win.

After tonight's bit, I can see Vince exiled to the couch until WM XL if she loses.

I'm sure that when she loses, things will slowly go back a little better. Not that WWE 2010 hasn't been good, because it has, but the stoppage of blood during matches is clearly there for a reason.
Now I know we won't see TNA's version of "blood," having it every match, but when it's needed, I'm sure we'll see it.

I hope it stays PG but with blood used extremely sparingly and when needed. Ala NWA and WWF in the 1980s.
Honestly thats where I think WWE is heading, its going to be 1980s NWA. Realism with some over the top charters, gritty but accessible to families with blood used only when needed at the big moments.

Good heel vs. face matches Cartoony characters that are only feature sparingly on each show Realistic characters that can be in serious storylines Blood in matches but only to show how dangerous the match is Young talent continuing to be pushed. And, when possible, a Punk/Bryan feud.

No, I highly doubt we'd go back to the Attitude Era in terms of what we saw and didn't see, regardless of the results of it.

I think Linda McMahon's campaign has a lot less to do with the PG rating than that guy who won the WM20 main event does.

I'm just going to say it. I loved the PG era so far. The women are actually wrestling and not stripping. I have porn for that I don't need it when I am trying to watch wrestling with my younger brothers.
The matches are a lot better, the storylines have been very good. They have made a point to have a lot of comedy. The only thing I dislike is stopping the match for blood. And as far as blood goes I am tired of it, TNA is a great example of why it's not necessary. They just shouldn't stop the matches though.
frankly I prefer this product to the trash that was the attitude era

That is always awkward. “Babe, I swear that this isn‘t the reason why I watch this.“

I'm sure what we're seeing with the PG era has less to do with Linda's campaign and more to do with the fact that wrestling is no longer cool now that the Attitude era is over, and so they have to replenish the fanbase with kids, and change the programming later to suit what they want to see as they grow. Wrestling's going to go in cycles now, and the WWE has figured this out by putting together a well-produced show that families can watch now, and will continue to watch later as the kids grow up because the parents fondly remember the first Attitude era.

No.
I wouldn't mind seeing a little attitude return, but I doubt it. And wrestling is definitely cyclical. We'll see another Attitude Era (or a version of it) but it probably won't be for another 8-10 years.
